Father, forgive us each time that we disown mothers who have lost their sons, the children with no home.
Thousands crying out in thirst, the prisoners in pain. Every time we turn away we crucify again.
Father, forgive us, our hearts remain unmoved by suffering and poverty, we know not what we do.
When we fail to hear the voice of Christ in every cry, when we do not recognize the Savior in their eyes,
we crucify again, we crucify again, we crucify again, we crucify again. Father, forgive us.

Jesus Died Alone
Words by John Parker, Music by Joel Raney
Many people lined the way as the King rode into town. Little children sang and played, laying branches on
the ground. But in the garden, on his knees, ‘neath the silent olive trees, where he prayed in agony, Jesus
prayed alone.
Five thousand gathered on a hill just to sit beneath his feet, to hear him teach his father’s will near the sea
of Galilee. But on the night he was betrayed, to the priest no word he gave. No defense to them he made.
Jesus stood alone.
The sick and lame from miles around came from every town and land; with their faces on the ground,
seeking healing by his hand. But when he hung upon the tree, on a hill called Calvary, forsaken, died for
all to see, Jesus died alone.

O God, we are so foolish when we believe that we have all the answers to the problems arr. by Berry

is only possible through your power. Amen. *Doxology: UMH 298 - When I Survey the Wondrous Cross (Verse 4)
