Claims
[Claim 1] An image processing apparatus comprising:
a processor configured to determine a first ti·ame border positioned
within a first image and a second frame border positioned within a
second image, the first image and the second image being sequential
images in time; and
a controller configured to detect a char;ge between the fir~! frame
border and the second ti"ame border.
[Claim 2] The image processing apparatus of claim 1, further complising:
a shutter; and
a shutter triggeling mechanism configured to actuate said shutter and
capture an image with an image sensor in response to the controller
detecting a change between the first frame border and the second ti·ame
border.
[Claim 3] The image processing apparatus of claim 1, wherein
said change between the t!rst frame border and the second frame border
being at least one of
a change in aspect ratio,
a change in shape, and
a change in position.
[Claim 4] The image processing apparatus of claim 1, wherein:
said change between the first ti"ame border and the second frame border·
occurs in response to one of
a movement of a subject within the first frame border and second
frame, and
a feature change of said subject.
[Claim 5] The image processing apparatus of claim I, wherein:
said first image and said second image are images within a video.
[Claim 6] The image processing apparatus of claim 5, wherein:
said video including images captured in a viewfinder of at least one of a
digital still camera and a digital video recorder; and
said first frame border and said second ti·ame border being visible
within said viewfinder.
[Claim 7] Th,e image processing apparatus of claim 2, wherein:
said shutter triggering mechanism is configured to actuate said shutter
after a predetermined peliod of time in which said shutter is inactive.
[Claim 8] The image processing apparatus of claim 1, wherein:

said processor is configured to determine a first smaller ti"ame po-

sitioned within said first frame border, and a second smaller frame
within said second frame border, and
said change between the first ti·ame border and second frame border is
detected by said controller when a ratio of areas of the first smaller
frame to first frame border and a ratio of areas of the second smaller
fi"ame to second frame border satisfies a predetermined critetia.
[Claim 9] An image processing method comprising:
determining with a processor a first frame border positioned within a
first image and a second frame border positioned within a second
image, the first image and the second image being sequential images in
time; and
detecting a change between the first frame border and the second frame
border.
[Claim 10] The method of claim 9, further comprising:
actuating a shutter and captming an image with an image sensor in
response to the detecting a change between the first frame border and
the second frame border.
[Claim 11] Tbe method of claim 9, wherein
said change between the first frame border and the second frame border
being at least one of
a change in aspect ratio,
a change in shape, and
a change in position.
[Claim 12] The method of claim 9, wherein:
said change between the first frame border and the second frame border
occurs in response to one of
a movement of a subject within the first frame border and second frame
border, and
a feature change of said subject.
[Claim 13] The method of claim 9, wherein:
said first image and said second linage are images within a video.
[Claim 14] The method of claim 13, further comprising:
captming said images in a viewfinder of at least one of a digital still
camera and a digital video recorder; and
presenting said fir·st frame border and said second frame border within
said viewfinder.
[Claim 15] The method of claim 10, wherein:

said actuating includes actuating said shutter after a predetermined

period of time in which said shutter is inactive.
[Claim 16] The method of claim 9, further comptising:
detetmining a first smaller frame positioned within said first frame
border, and a second smaller frame within said second fi·ame border,
wherein
said detecting includes detecting a change between the fin.t frame
border and second frame border when a ratio of areas of the first
smaller frame to first frame border and a ratio of areas of the second
smaller fi"ame to second frame bmder satisfies a predetermined ctitelia.
[Claim 17] A non-transitory computer readable storage device having instructions
that when executed by a processor pelfmm a method comprising:
determining with a processor a first frame border positioned within a
first image and a second ti·ame border positioned within a second
image, the first image and the second image being sequential images in
time; and
detecting a change between the first frame border and the second frame
border.
[Claim 18] The non-transitory computer readable storage device of claim 17,
·wherein the method further comprising:
actuating a shutter and capturing an image wifb an image sensor in
response to the detecting a change between the first frame border and
fbe second frame border, wherein
said change between the first ti"ame border and the second frame border
being at least one of
a change in aspect ratio,
a change in shape, and
a change in position.
[Claim 19] ~ The non-transitory computer readable storage device of claim 17,
wherein the method further comprising:
captming said images in a viewfinder of at least one of a digital still
camera and a digital video recorder; and
presenting said first frame border and said second frame border within
said viewfinder.
[Claim20] The non .. transitory computer readable storage device of claim 17,
wherein the method further comprising:
detetmining a first smaller frame positioned within said first frame
border, and a second smaller frame within said second frame border,
