Mission: UHEF is an academic health sciences center that exists to improve the health and health care of minority and underserved communities by offering
excellent education and training programs in the health sciences. True to its heritage, UHEF places special emphasis on providing opportunities for
people of color, individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, and others regardless of race or ethnicity; delivering high quality health services; and
conducting research that fosters the elimination of health disparities. UHEF endeavors to advance research, scholarship, and the development of
leadership skills utilizing traditional educational methods, distance learning, and innovative combinations of both to achieve its educational goals.
FOREWORD
The CAREGIVING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide care and support to infants/toddlers, provide care and
support to children, foster social, intellectual, creative and emotional development of children, foster the physical development of children, provide care and support
to elderly, provide care and support to people with special needs, maintain healthy and safe environment, respond to emergency, clean living room, dining room,
bedrooms, toilet and bathroom, wash and iron clothes, linen, fabric, prepare hot and cold meals.
BASIC COMPETENCIES

COMMON COMPETENCIES
1. Implement and monitor infection control policies and procedures
