§ Small board. for any activities are there and it is enough for
§ Flashcard. all students.
§ Clips.
§ Playdough. § Key words: umbellar- up- under.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

Teacher will:

§ Greeting the students.


§ Ask the students about the day and date.
§ Review with students the sounds that they take it before.
§ I will show the students video of letter “U”.
§ Ask the students what they see from the video.
§ Explain that today they are going to learn a new sound.
§ Shown the children a flashcard of pictures that start with letter “U”.
§ Show the students the sound of letter “U”.
§ I will choose any student to try to write the new letter “U”.
§ I will ask the students to show me their finger magic to write on the air letter “U”.
§ I will show the students the trace card to form sound \U\correctly.
§ I will present some words start with sound “U” such as (umbrella, up, under).
§ I will ask students to give me words start with sound \U\. And I will give all students a
chance to answer.
§ I will blend the word first then the students will repeat after me.
Students will:
§ Remember the sound that they take it before.

§ The students were got ready to learn knew sound the capital and small letter \U\.

§ The students see the new sound flashcard.

§ The students see how the teacher pronounce the sound.

§ The students will learn the new words such as (up, under, umbrella).

Independent Experience activity 1:

High level activity:

§ I will explain the activity for the students.


§ I will give the students instruction that they should use one clip to point the right letter
related to the picture.
§ The students will have flashcard with pictures of the letter “U”.
§ Then the students will point the answer with clips.
§ The students before they move to another centre the students will put all the lips and flashcard
in the box for next group.
Independent Experience activity 2:

Medium level activity:

§ I will explain the activity for the students.


§ I will give the students instruction that they should close the marker when they finish.
§ The students will have a small white board and marker.
§ The students will write letter “U” uppercase and lowercase of letter “U”.
§ The students will write the letter “U” on the line.
§ The students before they move to another centre will make sure the centre is clean and
return all resource to their place.

Independent Experience activity 3:

§ I will explain the activity for the students.


§ The students will have flashcard of letter “U”.
§ The students will have playdough.
§ I will give the students instruction that they should sharing the playdough with each other’s.
§ The students will make letter “U” with playdough.
§ The students before they move to another centre will make sure the centre is clean and
return the playdough in the box.

§ To make sure that the students have understood this learning outcome, two main activities the student
will be asked to do. The first activity is that the students see the flashcard and make blending of the
words, which will show that if they pronounce the words that have letter “U” correctly. The second
activity is that the students will have flashcard with pictures of the letter “U”. Then the students will
point the answer with clips and talking about it.

Overview the lesson was good when I taught the letter “U” because in this time I manage and
control of the students which help me to do all point that I plan on it. Moreover, I explain the
concept of the lesson through different activities that suitable for all levels of the students in the
class, and I used flashcard with pictures that start with letter “U” for the opening the lesson and the
first group who will point the correct letter that the picture start with it quickly will be owned and
will have a sticker, I used this way which is let the students to sit in groups to control them and that
let the students feel excited to be the owner also they learn to work in group and help each other.

v The activities were interested for the students and get their attention.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
v The students achieve the learning outcome of the lesson which is the differentiation
between the uppercase and lowercase of letter “U” and pronounce the sound of the letter
correctly. Also, they learn new words that begin with the letter "U" that they used in their
life to remember it.

v Greeted the students by show them video song of sound and action with them.

v I achieve my goals were teach the students how to write the letter and how to pronounce
the sound of letter “U” and teach them new words that start with a new letter. At the end
of the lesson, I saw how I have achieved my goal.

v Using programs Apps during the lesson, which let the students learn how to pronounce
and write the sound by using educational programs on iPad.
