SOCIAL PROBLEMS IN COLOMBIA: Investigative Study of

Juvenile Delinquency which includes the city of Monteria.

INTRODUCTION

The crime is known as the phenomenon of crime or acts outside the statute
imposed by society, but people really can´t know the real reasons why a young
person can enter this world.

Juvenile delinquency not only in our country if not also global phenomenon, as it
extends from the far corners of the industrialized city to the suburbs of large cities,
from rich families or wealthy to the poorest, juvenile delinquency is a problem that
occurs in all social classes.

Several causes; They can be organic, physiological, pathological, external


influences such as the environment in which they develop the early life of young
people, lack of affection and attention from parents or just misdirected.

The investigation of this work: social problems focused on juvenile delinquency in


the city of Monteria, is to publicize the problems of our society, as is currently the
youth, we can observe that children entering adolescence join criminal gangs
causing insecurity is likewise one of the most difficult problems to eradicate.

In recent years there have been many cases that prove the situation that we are
currently going on and alert the authorities on the measures to be taken as these
social problems are caused by the lack of opportunities for poor people, who daily
live with unemployment, hunger, discrimination, drug abuse and violation of their
dignity.
JUSTIFICATION OF THE PROBLEM

Every day we see as teenagers, and even children of very young offenders, giving
displays of violence, apparently gratuitous and unjustified, towards others.

In particular, we want to know about; the reasons that lead these young people to
act in such a way, some people think that young people are revealed as a way to
get attention or feel important to society; but the reality is that there are many
significant factors that lead youth to vandalize and this is what is going to show.

Juvenile delinquency is a disturbing problem every day.

Statistics indicate figures in constant progression, without many juvenile cases are
not included in the statistics.

The age of young offenders tends to decline. Increasingly, it increases toward the
young. Undoubtedly, juvenile delinquency is one of the most important social
phenomena that our society has raised, is also important to dealing with juvenile
delinquency today as a possible adult crime of tomorrow. This is because many
times there is no dialogue there has to be at the home of a family, and to address
this issue is very important so that parents, aware and attend lectures for later their
children have a good future in society.
