ABSTRACT

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) disease is a infection disease of infectious

chronic. Tuberculosis is infectious disease at the humans and animals that caused
by Mycobacterium species and marked with formation of tubercles and caseosa
necrosis of the tissues. Caused species the most frequently is M tuberculosis and
M bovis. Tuberculosis vary widely in the regards it manifestations and have a
great tendency chronicity. Various organs can be affect, although in human lung
is the main place this disease and usually is the gateway for entry infction to
reaches its other organs.

Objectives: To knowing the systemic symptom at the TB lymphadenitis

Method: These research kind is a descriptive with cross-sectional approach with

the research time executed in Sept 2013 to February 2014 in Anatomical
Pathology Laboratory FK USU, JKM Clinical, and Anatomical Pathology
Laboratory Prof. Dr. HM Dahlan Najib Lubis Sp.PA (K) where the sample was
minimum 30 respondents. The results this research in process by using the
Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) computer program.

Results: In these research, the result could bloody caughing up not significant
correlation with Tuberculosis lymphadenitis. There are correlation weight body
loss with Tuberculosis lymphadenitis by 17 persons (44,7%) with Chi-square test
was obtain p < 0,05. There are not correlation night sweats with Tuberculosis
lymphadenitis by 33 persons (86,8%) with Chi-square test was obtain p < 0,05.
There are correlation fever with Tuberculosis lymphadenitis by 26 persons
(68,4%) with Chi-square test was obtain p < 0,05.

Conclusion: Results of these research founded that there are not correlation
Tuberculosis lymphadenitis with bloody caughing up and night sweats. But the
founded correlation Tuberculosis lymphadenitis with weight body loss and fever.
