Seeking a Senior Partnership Officer (For Local Position)
CDA Collaborative Learning Projects (CDA) is seeking a Senior Partnership Officer for its Myanmar
office, based in Yangon.
The Senior Partnership Officer will join a growing team of highly motivated and skilled colleagues.
We are looking for a colleague who is passionate about conflict sensitivity and peacebuilding
effectiveness and ready to support our partners with conflict sensitivity integration in close
collaboration with our Partnership Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
During 2017-2018, CDA will provide ongoing technical support to 9-12 local organizations funded by
the Peace Support Fund. The Senior Partnership Officer will lead on this initiative within CDA,
coordinating activities and directly assisting the local partners, to: (a) build their capacity on conflict
sensitivity/Do No Harm, and (b) to integrate conflict sensitive approaches into their organizational
systems, policies and programs.
The Senior Partnership Officer reports to Deputy Country Director and collaborates closely with the
Paatnership Manager, to:
§ Manage relationships, communications and coordination between CDA and the local
partners
§ Coordinate, plan and implement activities undertaken with the local partners, both in
Yangon and in the field
§ Conduct conflict sensitivity assessments and program reviews
§ Facilitate conflict sensitivity trainings and workshops
§ Advise local partners on incorporating conflict sensitivity into their programming, and on
mitigating program challenges related to local conflict dynamics
§ Support local partners to integrate conflict sensitivity into their own monitoring and
evaluation plans/frameworks
§ Provide documentation such as activity reporting, donor reporting, lessons learned and
monitoring data (Burmese and English)
REQUIREMENTS
§ At least 2 years of experience in field program implementation and/or management
§ Strong knowledge of conflict sensitivity and Do No Harm
§ Commitment to the values of diversity, inclusion, and tolerance and have experience with
working with diverse ethnicities in Myanmar
§ Ability and motivation to work in a collaborative, creative, flexible and positive manner,
while also carrying out tasks independently
§ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
§ Willing to travel to rural parts of Myanmar on a regular basis
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Solid understanding of conflict sensitivity, Do No Harm and/or peacebuilding
§ Professional proficiency in English and Burmese languages (written and verbal)
§ Experience with facilitating trainings and workshops
§ Experience undertaking Do No Harm and conflict analysis/assessments
§ Experience working in a local or international aid/development organization
§ Experience implementing or managing programs at the field level
§ Highly desire for M&E in peace building experiences
§ Competence with computer skills and Microsoft Office software
§ University degree desirable (though not required)
