Screened patients on census for nutrition risk, and follow-ups. Review charts of patients gathering pertinent
information about their nutrition risk or progress. Made recommendations based on patient assessment
for; diet changes/modifications, supplements, vitamins, and tube feeding formulas. Assessed patients on
parenteral nutrition, and submitted updated order, daily. Delivered specific nutrition educations for
patients such as; diabetes, CVD, and renal disease. Conducted tray assessments, getting input from the
nursing staff. Conducted tray accuracies. Maintained a productivity report.

Food Service Management October 2016 – November 2016

Bishop Gorman High School Las Vegas, NV
Learned about the operations of their school food service program. Worked with the managers and staff
to observe their workflow and coordination. Conducted a systems analysis to identify and address an
issue in the facility. Conducted a sustainability assessment. Discussed, and reviewed the budget with the
general manager. Facilitated a wellness-promoting event discussing the benefits of a vegetarian-based
diet along with a vegetarian meal option.

Community Ranging from December 2016 - November 2017

Multiple locations Las Vegas, NV & Lancaster, CA
Worked with several sites including; Three Square Food Bank, Jewish Family Services Agency Food Pantry,
and L.A. County High Desert Regional Health Ctr. Was involved in the services they offered such as; food
disbursement to low-income individuals at the food pantry, Fruit and Vegetable Experience at Three
Square going to different schools to teach about different foods, and gave nutrition classes to different
age groups at the health center. Learned about the National School Lunch program requirements for
reimbursement at Three Square.

Diabetes Concentration Ranging from April 2017 – October 2017

Various locations Las Vegas, NV & Lancaster, CA
Attended a weeklong diabetes camp for children under 18, and participated as an intern as well as a
counselor. Worked with a private practice RD in Simi Valley who counseled patients with diabetes, as well
as learned coding and billing. Observed and helped facilitate diabetes education classes at Desert
Springs Hospital. Worked with the dietitian at L.A. County High Desert Health Ctr., counseling patients with
diabetes, as well as conducting group nutrition classes.

Simi Valley Hospital Simi Valley, CA
Visit patients for their meal selections while paying close attention to therapeutic diets and restrictions,
making adjustments to selections as needed. Check patient trays after they are assembled, ensuring
everything is on the tray that should be, take things off that shouldn’t be there, and add missing items.
Deliver trays, late trays, or individual items to patients. Help diet aide as needed.

Fire Island Grill Palmdale, CA
Shift manager in charge of opening and closing; set up the front line, organize prep list, count and stock
registers, ready cash deposit for the bank, clean all areas of restaurant, make employee work schedule,
submit payroll, and complete daily paperwork. Organize and assign tasks to employees, and disperse

Helped set up and decorate for the event. Put baskets together for participants and judges.

Peer Nutrition Counseling Northridge & Moorpark, CA

Provided nutrition education and counseling to students at CSU, Northridge at the Oasis Wellness Center,
and at the Student Health Center at Moorpark College.
