Teacher’s Name Adolfo Javier Limon Capaceta

Date 10th of May, 2018
Learners profile There are 19 learners in this group, who are studying the career of BA in ELT.
Include age, context, Students’ age ranges from 18 to 24. There are mainly female learners, with only 5

and their linguistic but sometimes they feel nervous if they do not find words to express themselves.
and affective needs. In general, the close class behave respectfully when someone is presenting or
giving information in front of the class; there is a noticeable feeling of solidarity.
Learners are appealed by activities that includes active physical movements like
dancing or games that involve competition. There are certain patterns when it
comes to interests, most of them sympathise with celebrities’ topics. There is a
minority who are active learners and are focused on the class. Some learners are
willing to participate, but a specific group tends to participate more. In the CEFR,
learners can be considered from B1 to B2 and some of them a possible C1. Most of
them are capable of being independent speakers and transmit their ideas through
L2, some of them, though, use L1 as soon as they start having problems.
In this lesson, learners will be able to use critical thinking and being creative
through a task about creating a fictitious technological company. Learners are
arranged strategically (APPENDIX 1) in order to keep the class flowing. By
watching an authentic material video of Steve Jobs, they will be able to use natural
language, persuasiveness, practicality and spontaneity.
Recent Work done Past simple. Present perfect simple using “already, just, yet”; present perfect
(timetable fit) focused on how often an action has happened till now; and present simple
emphasising a result.
Both grammatical structures have been compared before.
Learning outcome By the end of this lesson, Ss will identify the differences of the grammatical
structures previously presented and Ss will be able to use natural language in a
natural context.
Personal aim Reduce TTT. The effective and efficient use of ICQs on complex or long tasks.
Framework I chose TBL because I think is an excellent way of use the language the most
natural as possible. Also, it instills into student the need of acquiring more
language for different situations.
Materials A video; a handout.
