construed as Statutes.

 Union of India Vs. Dhanvanti Devi

Apex Court held that it is only the principle laid down in the judgement that is binding
law under Article 141.

 Director of Settlements, A.P. Vs M.R. Apparao

It is now well settled that a decision of the court based on specific facts does not operate
as a precedent for future cases.
