BRINGING HEAVEN TO EARTH IN OUR LIVES

So often we try to get God to align to our wishes, but we can’t do this, we need to be conformed to the image of
Christ, and be conformed to His will. We are to seek the will of God in all things.

Our God is a covenantal God we see this first in creation. Genesis 1:26 Then God said “let us make man in our
image according to our likeness – the Triune God were in agreement. Take a look also at John 1:1 – 3 In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the
beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

We need to tap into the mind of God and be aware of His will then we can pray and declare it will be on earth as
it is in heaven. The very image of God is on the inside of us, God stamped it there by saying it is to be so.
Genesis 1:11 reveals a picture of creation multiplied. (Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-
bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so)
Seed bearing plants produce fruit with seed in it.

1 Peter 1: 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and
enduring word of God. We have not been born again with perishable seed but with the imperishable incorruptible
seed which is the Word of God. When we align ourselves in relationship to God and to His Word we will start to
see His glory being released. Pray using incorruptible seed which when planted in faith will grow beyond what we
thought was even possible.

We need to step from a place of hope to a place of faith and move in obedience. Obedience is a sign that we
really believe God’s Promises. We also sow our seed by tithing. The seed of God’s Word gives us hope. As we
embrace that hope it grows and expands until the hope catapults higher into higher levels of faith which in turn
expand our love and relationship with the Father.

BE IN THE NOW OF GOD

Press through unbelief to receive. Believe God’s promises. God is now – declare it in the heavens. I have to ask
myself do I imagine God working in the now or someday? Do I expect Him to deliver my kids out of the enemies
grasp today or sometime in the future? Do I expect to be healed of fibromyalgia in my face, chronic sinusitis and
arthritis in my thumb and knee joints right now? God meets us in our hour of expectancy and faith.

THE NEW COVENANT

Before looking more fully at the new covenant I want us to reflect on God’s covenant with the first Adam.
Genesis 2:23, 24 were prophetic of a marriage relationship – there were no parents and no marriage ceremonies.
On the cross we see in John 19:34 when the soldier pierced Jesus side blood and water flowed. From the second
Adam a bride was taken from His side just as the first Adam had Eve taken from His side. Jesus blood flowed out
from His side to purchase redemption for us His bride. How wonderful!

The new covenant was enacted through Jesus obedience as He laid down His life for us so we could have life
more abundantly John 10:10 (NIV) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may
have life, and have it to the full. The New King James Version translates it as having life more abundantly.

In Genesis 17 we see God’s Covenant with Abraham and his descendants read the whole chapter but in
verse19 God says to Abraham “Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I
will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him”

Proverbs 22:28 we see that nobody was to touch the boundary which God had set for Israel. Deuteronomy
27:17 ‘Cursed is the one who moves his neighbour’s landmark. ’“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’

Now in the Old Testament under the old covenant all the Israelite men had to be circumcised as a sign of the
covenant and their obedience to God.

We too have been circumcised Colossians 2:11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made
without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in
baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the
dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive
together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that
was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Circumcision of the heart sets a boundary between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of God. It is a line
that the devil has no permission to cross, In Exodus 12 we see the blood covenant Passover. In the same way
the blood of Jesus is our covering because our sins are forgiven all the promises of the new covenant are ours,
we are under the blood. In 1 Samuel 16 God sent Samuel to anoint David as the new king. He said” Man looks at
the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Generational curses can be timed back to people having broken covenants with God giving access to the evil
one.

Galatians 3:13 -14 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a
curse for us—for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a
tree"— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the
Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

Christ became a curse for us so that in and through Jesus we might receive the
blessings of Abraham and the promised Holy Spirit through Faith. We are under
the Covenant of Abraham as well as the New Covenant.

God is saying to us today “Walk with me and see what I’ll do. Test me and see
if I’ll not open not open the windows of heaven,”

The New Covenant was set out in Jeremiah chapter 31 verses 31-34: ‘Behold
days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will make a New Covenant with
the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I
3

made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of
the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to
them,’ declares the Lord. But this is the covenant which I will make with the
house of Israel after those days,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will put my law within
them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be
My people. And they shall not teach again each man his brother, saying, ‘Know
the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of
them,’

This passage from Jeremiah is quoted again in full in Hebrews chapter 8:8-12.
For he finds fault with them when he says: "Behold, the days are coming,
declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers
on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt.
For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them,
declares the Lord.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those
days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on
their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall
not teach, each one his neighbour and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the
Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.
For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no
more." Verse 13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one
obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish
away.

The New Covenant has a new people, a new priesthood, and also a new
building.

Jesus, Stephen and Paul were all accused of blasphemy with regards to the
temple. When the disciples were admiring it, to their dismay Jesus said, ‘Do you
see all these great buildings? Not one stone here will be left on another; every
one will be thrown down’ (Mat 24: 2).

God’s mind was upon building another temple - a New Covenant temple.
‘The Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands,’ said Stephen
in a speech that led to him becoming the first martyr for Jesus. The divine plan
was so much higher. His real temple was to be made of human beings. He did
not want to live in brick and stone, but in flesh and blood such as you and I. The
New Testament is full of the message: ‘You are the temple of the Holy
4

Spirit.’ The idea that God wants a special building where he can be worshipped
is finished forever. He gave his final verdict on the earthly temple in 70 AD
when the Roman legions fulfilled Jesus’ prophecy to the word by literally
leaving not one stone of it upon another as they searched its foundations for
hidden gold. The prophecy had come to pass.

1Corinthians 5:7- 8 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as
you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been
sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the
leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
We are under the New Covenant.

POSITIONALLY WE ARE IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES

God created everything and so ultimately He owns it all. We can only release
the benefit of God’s rule flowing out of us to the degree that His rule is over us.
God does not release Kingdom authority to and through rebels, to release
Kingdom Authority we must be in obedience to the Lord.
Our faith rests in Jesus Christ, who died on our behalf, rose again and is in
heaven now preparing a place for us. We know it is true because He said so: “In My
Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you;
for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again, and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” John
14:2–3

By this we know that we have a home in heaven, but how can we know of
heaven’s reality in the now?
Ephesians_1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
Ephesians_2:6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the
heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Seems to me we are blessed in the heavenly places now, not just in the future,
we have been raised up to be seated with Christ Jesus in the Heavenly places,
surely we should be carrying more authority see Ephesians 3:10 so that through
the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers
and authorities in the heavenly places.
We as the church need to start fulfilling and living in our God given position. Is
the manifold wisdom of God being made known by us the church to the rulers
and authorities in the heavenly places? It is time for us to make a difference.

Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is
fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
The whole earth is filled with the glory of our God and His love, so many
scriptures affirm this.
Psalm 33:5 He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast
love of the LORD.
Psalm 119:64 The earth, O LORD, is full of your steadfast love; teach me your
statutes!
Isaiah 6:3 And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of
hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!"
If the earth is so full of God’s glory we ought to be so aware of it, but mostly we
are not. If we were aware of it fully this earth would be so much more like
heaven.
Habakuk 2:14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the
LORD as the waters cover the sea.
So what is wrong? Do we lack the knowledge of the fullness of His glory?

LOVE LIKE GOD LOVES

We are to love God and love others, with God’s kind of love

Romans_8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work
together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

1John_4:20 If anyone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for
he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he
has not seen.

1John_5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love
God and obey his commandments
