Basu, Rekha. "'Shopping while Black' and the Risk of Profiling." Des Moines Register, 04 Feb,
Racial Profiling is still taking place. According to the James Conley III’s Viral video
showing him being racially profiled by being accused on shoplifting at the Jordan Creek old
Navy. He was presumed as an shoplifter because his skin didn’t add up with the jacket he was
wearing meaning that because he was a different race than white he looked as if he couldn't
afford the jacket. The workers asked him to take off the jacket to prove that he didn’t steal
anything. This shows that because someone has black skin they can’t purchase the same clothing
This article is very useful in my paper because it shows that racism is everywhere
including in the places you love the most. This shows me an indirect form of racism called polite
racism. The article is useful because it shows how someone can determine what you can and
cannot afford because of your skin and not what you actually have in your pockets.

In order to understand if the world’s racism is changing or decaying you would have to
know the root of the racism. How did it start? Where did it come from? You can’t understand the
problem without knowing the root of the issue. After you find the root you should then try to
understand where the issue will take you. Racism can lead your life in many different directions
if you allow it. For instant you have all the qualifications for being an worker in the city hall but
there's always the white man stealing it away because of the color of his skin. So therefore in this
article the author analyzed the future of race in the twenty-first century.
This article to me is important because it shows how racism could take control of your
life whether you get the job at the doctor's office to whether you get to reserve a seating for 2.
This article shows me that you can’t just call something that you didn't like racism. You have to
first know what racism is and know what just being honest is. Many people in today's society get
the tongue of honesty and the tongue of racism mixed up because they don’t exactly understand
racism.

School Segregation has been going on for decades from slavery to now. Segregation in
the slavery times was not optional African americans didn’t have a choice of an education. While
school segregation now is unintentional. Studies show that the nation’s public schools has
increased steadily over the past 15 years. Segregation is now much greater than at any time since
the era of forced busing to achieve racial balance in the public schools. NAACP was an strong
This article could help me because it lets me know that segregation within the schools
have been amongst us for decades. It helps me to believe that school segregation in this
generation unintentional segrate schools. For examples in an of Caucasian you would overall see
about 7% african americans this could be because its in an certain area of housing where only
Caucasians could afford it, or it could be that we don’t believe that were smarter than a
Manasseh, Tamar. "To the Chicago Police, any Black Kid is in a Gang." New York Times
Gangs has evolved over time and it has affected the perception of blacks. It made the racial
profiling worse for blacks. For instant in this article an womans son was assumed as an gang
member because of his skin color. This shows that black people can presume as a treat to other
races. With no physical evidence of any gang related colors you will still get falsely alleged of being
in a gang because of your race. In this article it stated that even if your not in a gang police can
accuse you as an slight offender by the way you Dress, having a mass variety of tattoos, or just
This article would be important in my research because it shows me how an color of your
skin to an police officer can mean your trouble. In this article being black means your in a gang or
you can be an slight offender of any crime in their eyes. It shows how we have no chance of just

almost the same in any way. Even if both parents are compatible in wealth and education levels. This
information was proven to be true because of the recent study released on March of 2018 that now
follows adults who are in their late 30s and 40s. This statement is even true when it comes to an
black male raised in an wealthy household compared to and poor white kid.

This would be important in my research because it shows how bad we lack behind white in

With it being 20 centeries since the brown vs education case school seregation has gotten
a little between many races . Nowadays we do’t get told no we can’t go to school because of our
race instead we get in trouble when we dont report to school or when were tardy theirs alwqays
some sort of conciquence. Schools for us has changed so much over the centures of our life and
I can use this for my reaserch paper becuase it shows how schools has transformed from
then to now. It shows how much the school system has changed over the years. It shows us how
we are slightly segrated in schools based on our communities of which we live in. The income
ofour households, and the background memories of the people we love, and also the way this
generation thinks.

The difference between Race and Racism most people don’t understand, well the
different between the two was developed in this article the breaking down of the two. This article
tells us that the white supremacy has made a commitment to make us fail when potientally
getting close to their level. This article also states that no one is born racist meaning that racism
This could be significant in my research because it states no one is born racist meaning
this act has to be taught. That means just like when your parents tells you not to touch the hot
stove or you’ll get burnt racism can be the same way by teaching a little white kids that no black
person is better then you and to the little black kids every white man is after you.
In this article it states that someone whats to preventsracism just as much as me. They
protest and states that something needs to be done about racial inequality. In the article it states
that ‘ In te face of this phenomenon, we can’t sit back with our arms crossed. Some voices of
alert are being heard” this lets us know that people recongnize the voices that cry out for help
I can use this in my paper because this could be that people wants the racism to stop they
come in any type white, black, and minorities, no matter whats the race they want the to stop. It
shows us that too many people sit on their buts and do nothing at all but always saying its a

Videotaping is a huge role in the solution to racism. Without racism there would be so
many deaths and injuries due to racism. When people record incidents it can help change
someones live in helping them make it home to their families.
This is important because it helps with fighting racism most people don’t have the voice
to stop racist acts so they record and post it on social media which is the fastest way to get it
changed. When people record the police officer won’t hurt the victim as much as they would off
video so thats how it can save lives.
