DKSH expands partnership agreement with leading dermo-


cosmetic company Bioderma Laboratoire Dermatologique, to
develop and build the Bioderma brand in the China retail and
hospital pharmacy channels

DKSH, the leading Market Expansion Services provider with a


focus on Asia, today signed a commercial services contract
with leading dermo-cosmetic company Bioderma to deepen
and broaden their cooperation. After successful cooperation
under a previous distribution agreement, the new contract
terms give DKSH China exclusive rights to open and develop
the Bioderma brand in retail and hospital pharmacies across
China.

Shanghai, China, October 9, 2012 – Top executives at DKSH


China and Bioderma officially kicked-off an expanded new
commercial services agreement making DKSH the sole marketing
and sales partner managing the Chinese retail and hospital
pharmacy channels for Bioderma’s products. Under the new terms,
DKSH Business Unit Healthcare will open and manage a
significant number of Bioderma counters with specialized skin
advisors in pharmacies across key China cities China.

“This new agreement highlights our strong partnership with


Bioderma. The fact that Bioderma sought to expand its
cooperation with DKSH for marketing, promotion and sales
services shows their confidence in our logistics and distribution as
well as in our commercial services,” said DKSH China Head of
Country Management John Woo. He went on to explain: “The
professional pharmacy channel is central to Bioderma’s brand
philosophy and strategy since all products are scientifically
developed through dermatological research. It is optimal to sell
Bioderma via pharmacies, where we will install trained
professional skin consultants at each counter to explain to Chinese
consumers skin health, analyze their individual skincare needs and
introduce the scientifically researched benefits of each Bioderma
product.”

Bioderma’s Business Unit Manager Astrid Desmons said,

in pharmacies and hospitals, and its experienced sales and

Bioderma began importing into China in 2006 and today holds a


major market share in China for facial cleansers via its top-selling
product Sensibio H2O (Sensibio H20 is the number one facial
cleanser in France).

In 2012, Bioderma was approved to import a broad range of its


dermatologically tested skincare products into China, including
facial cleansers as well as moisturizers, shower gels, creams,
facial masks, serums, exfoliating gels and whitening products. (For
