1. Purpose:

While not every medical emergency or response canbe predicted or planned for, the goal of this EmergencyMedical Plan is to not be an
all-inclusive policy statement but to provide guidance and consistency during emergency medical events throughout the ORPIC
organization

2. Scope:

The scope of this plan is to give guidance to the management of largescalemedical emergencies

BLS- BasicLifeSupport

ABC - Airway, Breathing andCirculation

MCI- Multiple CausalitiesIncident

ERT-EmergencyResponse Team

Primary Triage- SimpleSorting via visual examination to determine the ABCof causality. Thisprocess canbe carried out by trained
competent first-inresponders.

Secondary Triage-Vital signsexaminations and to be carriedby medical personnel

First-InResponders- Members of ERTwho are trained and qualified to carry out medical evacuation and BLSMinimum training required are;
BasicFirst Aid including BLS.Minimum 2 out of 5 ERTmembersto be dedicatedto play this role, however, all ERTwill be trained to carry out
this task
