Their behaviour adversely affects the Overall performance Any employee who DRAGS the work of others is very DANGEROUS. To identify such person in the organization or team is a tough job. employees annoying behaviour to minimum Categories of BAD APPLES GOSSIPER BULLY BACKSTABBER PASSIVE - AGGRESSIVE WASTER NARCISSIST SELF OBSESSED WHISTLEBLOWER LAZY BONES COMBATANTS POISONER CHAOS CRITICIZE THE SLOB THIEF IDEAS MISREPRESENT WHINER SO MANY .... BAD APPLES What to DO? Assess Identify BAD APPLE and their BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES Provide JOB DESCRIPTION Make them UNDERSTAND Assign RESPONSIBILITY Make them ACCOUNTABLE Extend HELP when NEEDED Give CONSISTENT Directions MONITOR..MONITOR & MONITOR Respect and Reward QUALITY WORK And if NOTHING works.... then Withdraw all IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENT Move them to Another DEPARTMENT or TEAM Discuss IMPLICATIONS for their BEHAVIOUR Issue them WARNING From BAD To GOOD From BAD to GOOD is a TRANSITION STOP RESISTING START ACCEPTING They need ENCOURAGEMENT to change their Attitude They need PERSUATION They need HELP to CHANGE their Work Habits THINK ! It is not ILLEGAL yet Behavioural Issues are difficult to trace Every behaviour that a person Exhibits is MOTIVATED by Something…… People either act out their EMOTIONS By taking ACTIONS to achieve a certain OUTCOME Or They have deeply ingrained HABBIT, FRUSTRATION Beyond their CONTROL DEALING with BAD APPLES FOCUS on the PROBLEM Why the PROBLEM needs to be RESOLVED? What can be done for IMPROVEMENTS? How the person concern thinks (BAD APPLE)?
