EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

iv
The objective of the study is to analyze the actual recruitment process in

MSIL and its dealership and to evaluate how far this process confirms to the

purpose underlying the operational aspects of the industry. How far the

process is accepted by it? The study on recruitment highlights the need of

recruitment in MSIL.

Human resource is the most valuable asset in the Organization. The

profitability of the Organization depends on its utilization. If their utilization is

done properly Organization will make a profit otherwise it will have to

undergo a loss. The right person should be procured at right place at the

right time; otherwise their proper utilization will not be done.

This can be done by the process of recruitment. Recruitment refers to the process of

attracting, screening, and selecting qualified people for a job at an organization or firm. For

some components of the recruitment process, mid- and large-size organizations often retain

professional recruiters or outsource some of the process to recruitment agencies.

To procure right man at right place in right time, some information regarding

job and job doer is highly essential. This information is obtained through Job

Analysis, Job Descriptions, and Job Specifications. MSIL procures manpower

in a systematic and step by step manner.

It mainly has four steps-

a) Manpower budget

b) Recruitment

v
c) Selection

d) Hiring

This whole process has now become a lot easier by the use of their

irecruitment software.

The applicants are screened at each and every level thoroughly. They have

to undergo 3 levels of interviews for being shortlisted and after the medical

test and the final acceptance; they become a part of this esteemed

organization.
