To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to recommend Ms. Shinkle for a teaching position at your school. She has
been my taught in the room next to me for the last year and I have come to know her personality as well
as teaching style very well. She has shown an unwavering commitment to the students at Turner Middle
School, as well as to the 8th grade team. She has used a positive attitude, even temperament, and a
detailed oriented approach to make her classroom run smoothly.

Swoti is an excellent teacher because of her organization, planning and willingness to

collaborate. Every lesson is well developed, standards based, and detailed, which allows Ms. Shinkle to
make adjustments during the lesson. She is also extremely organized which helped set a routine for her
classes. She is always asking questions and checking for understanding to make sure the students are
grasping the key concepts. She combines this data with summative assessments to further gauge the
student learning in her class. Swoti is very committed to giving students the best possible instruction
that she can.

The final piece for Ms. Shinkle is her professionalism and relationship building skills. You never
have to worry about her being professional; she is always prompt, prepared, and enthusiastic about
teaching. Swoti also possesses the essential ability to build relationships with both peers and students.
She is a great part of our team and is constantly engaged in conversations about best practices. Students
are willing to participate in discussions and group projects because they feel that Ms. Shinkle’s
classroom is a safe place to share their thoughts and ideas. Professionalism and relationships will make
Swoti a great addition to any staff or program.

Swoti Shinkle is an excellent teacher, and an even better individual, who will add to any
school, and department lucky enough to get her. If you have any questions, feel free to email me
