ABSTRACT
TITLE:-PERFORMANCE OF BIOMASS GASIFIER
(DOWN DRAFT GASIFIER).
OBJECTIVE:-ANALYSIS OF BIOMASS GASIFIER (DOWN DRAFT GASIFIER)
This paper presents an original modelling of the biomass gasifier process and more
particularly the Downdraft Gasifier. Biomass gasification is a chemical process that converts
biomass into useful convenient gaseous fuels or chemical feedstock.it has emerged as a
promising technology to fulfil the increasing energy demands of the world as well as you
reduce the volume of biomass waste generated in developing societies.
Biomass is a non-fossilised and biodegradable organic material originating from plant animal
and micro-organisms. This shall also include products,by-products,residues and waste from
agriculture, forestry and related industries as well as non-fossilized and biodegradable
organic fraction of industrial and municipal wastes. Biomass has high but variable moisture
content and is made up of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur and inorganic
element. The utilization of biomass is very important source in many part of world, especially
for areas remote from supplies of high-quality fossil fuels. Biomass power has also grown
significant in a number of European countries and in several developing countries, including
china, India, Brazil,Costa Rica,and Mexico.
