This rare remnant bog and wetland was uncovered and shaped
!!
to reflect the past agricultural uses for bogs in Seattle. Native
plants which are able to tolerate these conditions were set in
!!!
rigid geometric patterns offering playfulness and ecological
awareness to the community.!

The 12 acre Park and Bog restoration project conducted for this
public amenity. The second phase of the project included
!!
removal of more fill covering peat deposits to restore an
additional 1.5 acres of wetlands. This doubles the wetlands
!!
restored in the first phase of the project. Over 45,000 native
plants and trees were planted in the wetlands and upland areas
!!
of the project.!
