A paradise for browsing and shopping this market


offers myriad of local handicraft including batik,
Siti Khadijah Central Market leather goods, clothing and household items. The
market is named after Prophet Muhammad’s wife, a
fitting name for a market mostly run by women.

One of the most popular destinations in the state for


jungle trekking, mountaineering, the Stong State
Jelawang Waterfall (Stong State Park) Park is also famous for its seven tiered Jelawang
waterfall which is reputed to be one of the highest
waterfalls Southeast Asia.

Kelantan is melting pot of cultural influences and its


shadow puppetry or wayang kulit is a clear
representation of that. The shows fall into several
categories according to appearances and nature of
Wayang Kulit characters portrayed as well as epic stories.
In Kelantan we can find two kinds of Wayang kulit,
the Javanese and the Siamese. Catch a show or two
at kampong Kemasin, Kampung Parit Pasir and
Kampung Kebakat.
