This article talks about the effects of student debt and ways we can lower the overall cost
or save students money. It explains how the cost of colleges are rising and more and more
students are having to take out loans for school which can affect their lives after college such as
when they start a family or where they live. Some ways that we can save students some money in
college is to make textbooks more affordable by offering online versions or less expensive cost
This source seems to be pretty trustworthy with the knowledge on the topic and the other
ways to learn more about making college more affordable shows that the author knows a lot
about the topic. I couldn't find one single author but the information is coming from an
organization that is committed to making college more affordable. This website does not seem
biased but it can be taken that way since they are on the side of the students and want college to
cost less. It says in the article that their organization is working with people to create ways to
I am gonna use this article in my paper and presentation by putting it with my second
subpoint which is that it leaves a high debt on students after college. The main parts of this
article i'll be using is gonna be some of the ways you can reduce the cost and how it affects

students. I think this is gonna help me a lot because the website knows a lot about more
affordable education and shows a lot of good information to help support my opinion.
This article begins by explaining how much college is needed in the real world. It shows
how someone with a college education makes more, has more opportunities, and is more likely
to get a job over someone with only a diploma. It then talks about how the prices of colleges now
is the highest it's ever been and for some colleges you still get the same stuff as formal years but
you pay more. It also talks about how its not getting cheaper or easier for student with Pell grants
being not funded anymore so it is harder for students to get help financially.
This article is written by the U.S. Department of Education so it seems pretty trustworthy
and with the amount of information they have a good knowledge about the topic. They provide a
lot of information on how the federal government isn't helping students and also on the history of
college tuitions. I think this is gonna help me a lot in the presentation because of the vivid
information that is given on ways it's gotten more expensive and how it affects students lives.
I'm going to use this source a good amount in the presentation. This source provides the
most information on what the government is doing with the situation and what the future is if it
isn't fixed. A good point that is made in this article is that “College graduates with a bachelor's
degree typically earn 66 percent more than those with only a high school diploma; and are also
far less likely to face unemployment. College graduates with a bachelor's degree typically earn
66 percent more than those with only a high school diploma; and are also far less likely to face
unemployment.” That is a good quote because it shows the effect on people that don't go to

college and shows how much college is needed for a successful life and less and less people are

This article is about lowering the cost of postsecondary education through government
funded programs. The writer of this article works for Lumina which is a company that works
specifically to lower the cost of a higher education. This company has worked directly with
Obama to lower the cost of postsecondary education. It goes into ways they have worked to
The author of this article is the strategy director of the Lumina foundation so I think she
is pretty educated on the topic. The foundation works to lower the cost in order to bring people
out of debts that they are left with for the rest of their lives. The article is biased towards
lowering the cost and she is well educated about the topic and has worked towards their mission
since 2013.
I will be using this article in my project to support my point that it is forcing kids to take
lower paying jobs that don’t require a high education because they can’t afford a higher
education. They make great points on how the government isn’t working to lower the cost and
that the cost is increasing tremendously. It also talks about how the high prices is causing kids to

This article talks about how technology has made colleges more expensive and also what
needs to be done to make college more affordable. It shows how advantaged kids are the
majority of people going to college and when they do they go to elite colleges which shouldn't be
available to the wealthy but more to everyone in general. Critics have shown that college
completion rates are lower than ever and the amount of people actually enrolling is lower than
ever.
The author of this article seems pretty reliable because of the amount of knowledge she
has and amount of passion she has for the topic. It seems a little biased towards lowering the
tuitions of colleges and making it more affordable. She mentions how past colleges were ran and
how much they costed so that shows that she knows a lot about the history of the topic. The
article comes from a website about colleges and their tuitions and how to reduce the cost of
colleges.
This article has a lot of good information on the cost of colleges and how to reduce the
cost and the history of the topic. One thing i'm gonna use is when it talks about how how the
policy makers use advances in technology as an excuse of the high tuitions. I agree with that
statement because as technology advances yes colleges are gonna use more technology but it is
being driven towards students learning on their own instead of being with a professor which can

This article talks about the debt that students are left with after college and what the
government had done to help this problem. It also talks about what is driving up the cost of
colleges and what we can do to lower those cost. It has a lot of statistics about the amount of

people that are going to college and also the amount of kids that aren’t going to college because
of the cost.
This article is from the South Carolina Public Radio and the person that wrote this seems
very educated about the issue. The amount of statistics that are shown and the amount of
information that is given shows that the person has done research about the topic. The article has
a lot of information about what the government has done to help the problem and what they
This article has a lot of good statistics that i’m gonna be able to use and prove my topic
more. This article seems to be biased about lowering the cost of college and what the federal
government should to in order to fix the problem. One thing i'm gonna use is how the tuitions are
paying for other stuff that some students don't take part in or won't be affected by the money.

This article talks about how colleges have been raising the tuitions for a while but now
people are being affected by debt more than ever. It shows that government policies aren't gonna
be able to fix the problem. It shows ways on incentivizing tuitions and what needs to be done to
get the tuitions lower. It shows that the colleges need to start spending the government funds
This article comes from the Center for American Progress and has a lot of information on
how colleges need to change in order for the tuitions be lowered. It also has a lot of information
on what the federal government should be doing to lower the cost of the tuitions so that more

students can pay for college. The article seems biased towards lowering the cost and they have a
lower the tuitions and what the government needs to do. It has tons of facts on past presidents
and what they said they would do in order to fix the problem. The information is pretty reliable
