shape model, however, it is the most shaped as a compact state because
everything is relatively close to the center of the state.
Boundary Disputes
The main boundary dispute is between Ghana and
Cote d’Ivoire. The boundary is a maritime boundary
dispute regarding the Jubilee field which is a large
oil field. The Ivory Coast claims that Ghana has
encroached beyond their territorial borders when
digging for oil. Ghana has denied the allegations.
Ghana has brought this boundary dispute before the
International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea. Each
country has to appoint an arbitrator. The dispute
began in 2007 when Ghana claimed to have discovered the Jubilee field and the Ivory Coast then
claimed to have discovered it. Companies that actively drill oil in this area have received letter
from the Ivory Coast asking them to leave the Jubilee field. This boundary dispute is still being
actively worked on and attempted to be solved.

Ghana History Shown in the National Anthem

The national anthem is displayed on the left. The
official title of Ghana's national anthem is “God
Bless Our Homeland Ghana” Because the country
of Africa has been a colony of Britain and since
then received independence it has gone through
many changes. It was originally written by a man
named Phillip Gbheo. The music adopted in 1957,
lyrics were then adopted in 1966; the lyrics were
changed twice, in 1960 when a republic was
declared and again in 1966 when the government
was violently seized for a period of time. The first
time that the national anthem was sung was in
1966 where the people remembered the hard
battle that the people needed to fight for their
country and also the freedom that the citizens
have. The word of the national anthem remind the
citizens of their pride and how they did have other people rule them for some time in the era of
colonialism and imperialism hence the reference “and help us to resist oppressors rule.”. This
was referring to the time when Britain was in power in the country of Ghana.
