Jordan High School •Community Tutoring Committee: Engaged in

NHS FINAL service throughout the year by tutoring students at

Githens Middle School. Every Monday, two to three

volunteers from the committee go to Githens from
7:30-8:30 to tutor middle school students. Each
volunteer was placed in a different class, which
ranged from math to science to ESL. The
May, 2018 volunteers were typically in a different class each
time, so they got to work with different students

•In House tutoring Committee: Kept busy of
Thursdays mornings tutoring Jordan peers. This
tutoring ran from subjects ranging from freshmen
academy classes all the way to AP level classes.

2019! •Teacher support committee: Ran numerous

supply drives to help deliver needed supplies to
teachers as well as going in to assist teachers with
any needed help during lunches or free periods.

•Publicity & Archives Committee: We kept in

touch with the other committees to stay informed
with what they were doing and to compile pictures
and records of this chapter of Jordan’s NHS. We
maintained a website with pictures and
newsletters. (see http://jordannhs.weebly.com/)

Goodbye Class of 2018!

In this last issue- we hope to inform you of our
achievements of this past year in our school
and the community (see above), as well as
inform you of what/where our graduating class
of NHS is doing/going as they leave the Jordan
