I am Liz and I am a student from the University and I live with my parents in a big house.
I have many friends, they are very friendly and we like to go to the cinema. I like to
dance and listen to music. I was living in Lima for a long time and I was working there. I
have a friend Adriana, she is very nice and we are best friends until now.

II. PRETEND YOU ARE WORKING FOR A TRAVEL AGENCY AND WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR
CUSTOMERS BY TELLING THEM ABOUT THE ALTERNATIVES THEY HAVE FOR

Good morning, I’m going to tell you the beautiful things that we have here in Peru and
what can you do in this vacations. If you are looking for adventure you can go to Iquitos.
There are many things you can do for example: explore the jungle, boating, fish, etc. You
can stay in a hotel and your bags can be in your hotel room. You can go to eat our typical
food. Another place you can go is to Cusco. You can visit Macchu Picchu and know about
our history and also eat our delicious food for example Pachamanca or Cuy Chancado.

B: I have two brothers and one sister

B: There are ten chairs and there is one table in my classroom.

V. IMAGINE YOU ARE ON VACATION IN AYACUCHO. DESCRIBE THE DAYS YOU ARE
SPENDING THERE. USE SIMPLE PRESENT AND PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE. (60 words )

I am in Ayacucho for a week and I like it. It is very cold right now but it’s all right. I am
learning many things about the culture and also of the food. I have a friend, he speaks
Quechua very well. He is teaching me some words and we are practicing every day. He is
very friendly and we are visiting many touristic places here in Ayacucho. I’m going to stay
one more week because I like it.

VII. HOW MUCH MONEY DID YOU SPEND ON YOUR LAST VACATIONS? WHY? (ESPECIFICA
LOS RUBROS DE LOS GASTOS)

In my last vacations I spent eight hundred soles, I went to Ica the last summer and I had to
pay one hundred soles in passages. When I arrived to Ica I stayed in a Hotel and I had to
pay for each day twenty five soles I stay in the hotel four days. The first two days I spent
one hundred soles in food I wanted to eat all the typical food. I went to an agency travel
and paid a touristic package for two days it cost me two hundred soles including the food.
And the rest of the many I spent in many souvenirs for my family.

TOPIC: TOURIST DESTINATIONS IN PERU. READ THE TEXT CAREFULLY AND MAKE YOUR

IX. ANSWER THE QUESTION BELOW.


1. Why do we use the auxiliary DID in Simple Past? Explain and write 2 examples.

We use the auxiliary DID in the past simple because it is use to explain and descript
situations that happen in the past and they already finished.
For example:
-I did my homework yesterday.
- Did you eat cake last night?

2. What is the difference between regular and irregular verb? Write 4 examples.

When we use the past there are two kind of verbs the regulars; that stay the same and
we only put –ed at the end and the irregular verb that change complete the word, for
example: speak change to spoken.

- I learned Quechua last year. (Regular)


- I worked last Sunday
- I went to Cusco last summer.
- I ate many dishes in Mistura yesterday.
