Son todas aquellas lenguas que se empleaban con anterioridad a la difusión del idioma español

y que se preservan y emplean en el ámbito del territorio nacional.

Todas las lenguas originarias son la expresión de una identidad colectiva y de una manera
distinta de concebir y de describir la realidad; por tanto, gozan de las condiciones necesarias
para su mantenimiento y desarrollo en todas las funciones.

En el Perú se hablan 47 lenguas de las cuales:

43 son amazónicas y 4 son quechuas

El Castellano es mayoritariamente usado, especialmente en las zonas urbanas de todas las

regiones del Perú. Es usado por el 83.9% de la población.

El Quechua lo hablan el 13.2% de la población, usado mayormente en la región andina o sierra.

El quechua fue el idioma de los Incas.

El Aymara usado por el 1.8% de la población, zona altiplánica de Puno y en las alturas de
Moquegua y Tacna. El Aymara es hablado, principalmente, en la región del Lago Titicaca.

Es posible comunicarse en inglés con las personas que prestan servicios turísticos como guías,
personal de agencias de viaje y establecimientos de hospedaje de tres, cuatro y cinco estrellas.
