Corporate Social Responsibility

GMA Network Inc. is one of the largest mass media in the Philippines. With its

corporate purpose of “To enrich the lives of Filipinos everywhere”, GMA Network Inc.

has introduced their own CSR programs such as the GMA Kapuso Foundation

(GMAKF) (Dajugar, n.d). The said program started with the overwhelming needs of

Filipinos after the catastrophic eruption of Mt. Pinatubo and the Ormoc flood and

landslide tragedy (Dajugar, n.d). The latest project that is accomplished by the GMAKF

is the rebuilding of Marawi with the help of the Filipino-Chinese organizations (GMA

Network, Inc., 2018). GMAKF also holds its annual bloodletting project with Philippine

Red Cross as its beneficiary (GMA Network, Inc., 2018).

Another CSR program that is developed by the GMA Network Inc. to give back to

the community and help people in need is the Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko Foundation. One

main project of the said foundation is the outreach program with children afflicted with

cancer (GMA Network, Inc., 2018).

GMA Network, Inc. provides and applies well their corporate social responsibility

on everything that they do (Dajugar, n.d). The network, especially the news team, aids

the whole company in disseminating the information to the people to educate them and

at the same time, inspire them in bringing change to the whole society.
