FUTURE PROOF YOUR CAREER

Over the last decades every company has become a technology company relying on websites, e-
commerce solutions, ERPs and sophisticated back- and front- end solutions. All of these IT
solutions need to be developed, updated and managed by skilled IT professionals. The immense
growth in the technology sector has lead to an extreme shortage of programmers and
technology professionals, leaving all companies scrambling for talent in the extremely
competitive technology recruitment space. Today Sweden alone is missing 30,000 IT
professionals and that number will double to 60,000 by year 2020, and increase to 70,000 by
year 2022. By entering the technology industry and knowing how to code, you are effectively
one of the most highly demanded professionals in Sweden with a future proof career.

Salary statistics speak a clear language:

A lawyer in Stockholm, requiring a 4 year and geographically limiting education, earns on

average 36,000 SEK per month. While a software developer with a few years of work
experience also earns on average 36,000 SEK per month. Web development and front-end
development (which is a focus at </salt>) is rapidly becoming the most demanded category of
software developers in Sweden with an average salary in Stockholm of 46,000 SEK per month.
That means your salary development will grow quickly along with just a few years of work
experience in your software development field.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
IN OUR CANDIDATES
At </salt> we are looing for individuals who are:

Motivated
Our candidates must be very motivated to succeed as our career program will be
quite tough. You will complete 500+ hours of coding in just 3 months at </salt>.
That is roughly the same amount of coding hours as a full multi-year university
degree to become a software developer.

Passionate
Passion is everything when devoting yourself to a new career as it will be one of
the cornerstone components of your life. Our candidates need to be passionate to
learn and work with technology, because that is what we are all about at </salt>.
Passion also has to be there for teamwork, developing software is done in teams
and during the training program our students will work in numerous team projects
supporting each other and helping each other evolve and develop.

Creative
We would like for our candidates to be curious and creative, always thinking of
new ways to improve and enhance products and user experiences.
A typical day at </salt>
You will start each morning with a short recap of what you learned yesterday, sharing with
the group, to reflect and deepen the learning.

In the morning we typically have a lecture or a theoretical introduction to the topics we are
going to cover during the day. This section is sometimes very short and other days can cover
most of the morning.

The rest of the day is devoted to hands-on learning by working in your teams, guided and
supervised by our instructors. This section will start with a short stand-up meeting where you
plan out the work for the day and ensure that you are spending your time wisely.

You will also end each day with a short retrospective to ensure that we keep improving your
ways of working and learnings.

There are always opportunities to stay after office hours to catch up or repeat what you
have learned during the day. This will be needed from time to time as you cannot expect
that you will master everything taught during office hours without additional practice.
