Station A (1) - Berlin Airlift

Observations
It seemed that this is a waste of our time and resources to supply them
with these necessities when our military could be more concerned with
greater issues at hand such as the threat of global nuclear war.

The concept of platoons was implemented for more stealth
based operations and smaller firefights rather than full fledged
battles which concluded with mass amount of casualties.

Forgotten War??
This conflict could be considered the forgotten war because in
the few years that it was active, nothing was truly concluded.
Thousands of casualties were taken for no true result.

Station C (3)- Sputnik

America’s Reaction?
They recognized this as a challenge between the two nations and
took immediate action. This new “Space Race” corresponded with
improved funding for United States math and science classes.

Eisenhower’s concerns?
In 1959, Khrushchev, the first Soviet leader to visit the United
States, spent part of their visit discussing ways to slow down the
arms race.

Would America today respond with improved funding for US math and science classes
Not only would they react this way, but the United States government
would even go farther than the last time this movement took effect. With
the always expanding, updating, and evolving military technology from
around the world, our military has to keep up with it.

What will you do?

this time period, you would do anything to make sure
no fingers were pointed at you for communism.

It would also protect your family and make sure they weren’t met

How would you escape?
The only reasonable option seems to be to
dig under and create a tunnel to escape.

The west side was American controlled, so the citizens there were heavily
inspired by their pop-culture. Therefore, wall was very vulnerable for
graffiti and vandalism at the time.

Which option would you choose? Why?
The diplomatic seems like the most reasonable approach due to the fact
that non one would get hurt in the process and it could be settled without
sending the world’s two superpowers into a nuclear missile crisis.

How does CMC represent the tactic of brinkmanship?

Like it was stated in the video, a slight error of communication
could send the entire world into nuclear war.
