Historia .-La copa del mundo, es un torneo realizado cada 4 años.

Esto se llevo a cabo por

primera vez en Uruguay 1930. Ese año participaron solo 13 paises y uno de ellos fue Peru
como pais invitado pero no clasificado.

En dos ocaciones no se realizaron el mundial en 1942 y 1946, en los que se suspendio debido a
la Segunda Guerra mundial.
