Major event #1: Invasion of Poland: Between the two powers. On September 1st 1939
When Hitler obtained power many things were done Germany invaded Poland. When France and Britain
in order to prevent war like Munich agreement. In got news of this they declared War on Germany.
1939 war was just merely a fear until Hitler This was significant because it was what initiated the
negotiating a nonaggression pact with the Soviet war because Germany broke the agreement it had
Union which stated that Poland would be split up
made with Britain and France and from then on there
was no sight of end to war. The key players involved
in this were Germany, Soviet Union, Poland and
Slavic Republic.
Major Event #2 Pearl Harbor: A sad surprise attack by Japanese forces took place
on a naval base called Pearl Harbor. On December 7, 1941 hundreds of
Japanese fighter planes descended on the base where they managed to destroy
and damage nearly 20 American naval vessels. The importance of this is what
brought in Japan and the U.S. into the war. After this the U.S. also declared war
on Germany. The key figures involved in this were Japan and the U.S.
Key Figure #1: Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill was born on November 30, 1874 in
Blenheim Palace, United Kingdom.He became prime
minister on May 10th 1940. Winston Churchill was
twice named prime minister. Before earning election to
Parliament Churchill served in the British Army and
worked as a writer. He died January 24, 1965 due to a
stroke at the age of 90. Winston Churchill had a very
big role in WWII because he was the last allie power
after France had been taken over by Germany so it was
all up to him to not be defeated. He was also the stern
hand and inspiration that Britain needed to successfully
fight off Germany. He showed to have lots of strength
and wasn’t afraid of standing behind what he believed
which gave people motivation to fight hard.
Major Event #3 Hitler attacks Stalin
After agreeing to keep peace between the
Soviet Union and Germany, Hitler decided
that in order to obtain complete control he
would have to break the agreement. When
he had enough strength and had taken
control of enough places he then thought
that his next step was to take out the other
strongest power. Germany began invading
the Soviet Union but was defeated. This was
significant because it was Germany’s first
major defeat which made Hitler realize he
wasn’t invincible. The key figures involved
in this were the Soviet Union and Germany.
Major Event #4: Yalta Conference
The Yalta conference was held from February 4th to February 11th, 1945. This conference was a meeting
in regards to World War II for heads of government of the United States, United Kingdom, and the
Soviet Union for the sole purpose of discussing Germany and Europe’s postwar reorganization. This
event was highly significant due to the leaders of the Big Three nations being present at the same place
and time and to form an alliance. The key players involved in this event were Franklin D. Roosevelt,
Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin.
Major Event #5: Atomic bombs are
dropped
Towards the end of the war Germany
had already been defeated. The last
remaining power opposing the allies
was Japan. The Japanese were hard
to defeat since they prefer death
instead of defeat. They saw defeat as
something extremely dishonoring.
The action of using atomic bombs
was done in order to stop more
people from dying. The significance
of this that it stopped the war from
going on for longer. The key figures
involved in this were the Japanese
and the United States.
Important Figure #2: Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn,


Austria, on April 20, 1889. Adolf Hitler rose
to power on January 30th, 1933. Adolf Hitler
was an Army officer for the nation of. At the
outbreak of World War I he applied to serve
in the German army. Hitler’s policies
precipitated World War II and led to the
genocide known as the Holocaust. Hitler
committed suicide with wife Eva Braun on
April 30, 1945, in his Berlin bunker. The role
he had in WWII is that he was the person that
began the War because of his delusional
ideas about world domination.
