AKQ Contemporary Bridge Kitchen Faucet Installation AKQ


• Hole diameters are 1 1/8” minimum to 1 ¼” maximum when drilling a counter top.
• This faucet requires 3 holes at 4” on center
• If the side spray is going to be used it requires a 4th hole, see separate side spray instruction sheet for
hole diameter drilling dimensions.
• Maximum deck thickness is 1 ½”
• If optional accessories are going to be added such as a soap dispenser, hot water dispenser, air gap etc.
then check with manufacture for the hole diameter requirement.
• This kitchen faucet has been water tested and comes completely assembled (except for the side spray
assembly if being used)
• A few simple tools will make the installation easier:
• Small crescent wrench, basin wrench, Phillips screwdriver (if
removing the handles) and Teflon tape

Step 1- Locate the “front” of the faucet before installing, both the hot
and the cold handles should “open” inwards, towards the spout AKQ-02

Replace both the handle assemblies and set to the desired

1B- The angle of the handles when in the “off” position can be
changed unscrewing the handle base AKQ-22 and then pull up AKQ-17

1C- Moving the handle one “notch at a time” on the broach of the

ceramic cartridge AKQ-CARTH and AKQ-CARTC will change AKQ-15
the angle of the handle. When the desired angle is obtained,
screw the handle base AKQ-22 tight by hand. AKQ-14

1D- Cross handle AKQ-23 installs the same as the lever handle

Step 2- Place the three seal washers AKQ-17 inside the groove in the
bottom of each of the three base rings AKQ-19 (hot and cold
sides and AKQ-10 center ring onto the faucet body, then insert
the faucet through the holes in the sink or counter top.
•Note: There is no need to use plumbers putty or a sealant between the faucet body and the sink or counter top as
the three seal washers AKQ-17 make a water tight seal.
Step 3- Push washer AKQ-11 on one side of the faucet threaded supply tube AKQ-16 then washer AKQ-15, then the
lock nut AKQ-14 and hand tighten against the bottom of the sink or counter top. Repeat the same procedure
on the other threaded supply tube.

Step 4- Make sure that the faucet body AKQ-20 is aligned parallel to the sink back splash or back of sink edge and
then tighten both the lock nuts AKQ-14 with a wrench.
Step 5- Side spray installation:
NOTE: If not using the side spray, install washer AKQ-13 and
brass cap AKQ-12 (packed separately in plastic bag)

onto the side spray outlet tube AKQ-18 and tighten. CROSS HANDLE

NOTE: The hole diameter for the side spray base is 1 ¼” to 1
3/8” maximum if drilling through a counter top. AKQ-02
Step 6- Place the side spray seal base washer CSS-06 over AKQ-03

Step 7- From underneath, push up the washer CSS-07 and LEVER HANDLE

and push the hose all the way in until the side spray

Step 9- From underneath, attach the female end of the spray AKQ-19
hose CSS-10 to the male threads on the center spray AKQ-10
hose outlet under the spout and tighten (if a leak

amount of Teflon tape to the male threads of the
spray hose outlet.
