JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 To review the Inspection and Test Plan, Welding procedures, Procedure Qualification Records,
Welder Qualification certificates, NDT Procedures andDestructive testing procedures, PWHT
etc. as per the code requirements.
 Attend pre-inspection meetings / progress meetings.
 Participate in project management visits / Sub-contractors internal and external audit
processes and quality contractors / subcontractor’s toolbox meeting.
 Responsible for inspection requirements of static and packaged equipment material receipt,
preservation, installation and testing at site during construction phase.
 Provide inspection requirements to contractor and subcontractors at all stages of the projects
for the specific discipline.
 Review inspection & test plan, procedures, method statements, vendor requirement and
monitor their implementation at site.
 Participate/Perform stage wise and final inspections of installed equipment.
 Ensure that any non-conformities (NCRs) identified are effectively addressed and closed.
 Ensure that the Corrective action reports issued are followed up and closed-out.
 Review/comment on technical queries / concessions / deviations related to project.
 Liaise with on-site Certification Authorities, Notified Body and other third parties
 Witnessing and Review WPS & PQR as per codes and project specification.
 Witnessing and Review qualifying contractor, Welder Qualification Test to various approved
WPS.
 Witnessing and verifying inspection as required / as per approved ITP. (NDT-PT,MT,UT,
mechanical test (destructive tests), hardness test, PMI test, PAUT, hydro test, pneumatic/leak
test/penetrant oil test, vacuum box test)
 Material inspection of plates, pipes, fittings and welding consumables.

with requirements of the contract and applicable codes.
 Monitoring of all welding activities prior, during and after, which include material check,
qualified welders in right job and welding equipment’s.
 Witnessing Painting procedure and applicator qualification test as per project specification.
 Witness of the coating integrity of mainline and field joint coating before lowering the
pipelines to the trench.
 Witness of Surface Profile, Salt Test, Dry Film Thickness, Adhesive Test, Peel Test & Holiday
Test.
 Monitoring and witnessing field joint coating for both aboveground and underground Pipeline.
 Review blasting & coating material Batch certificates (like coal slag, Garnet & Natural
Abrasive) & pot life.
 Assessing pre-blast and post blast condition of substrate prior to painting application.
 Review the contractor documents for environmental conditions like Relative humidity, Dew
point and Steel surface temperature.
 Witness Laboratory Qualification Tests of External & Internal Coating system (Adhesion Test,
Catholic disbandment Test, Thermal Analysis Test (DSC) and Elongation Test).
 Inspection of validity for all measuring devices and daily log for weather condition.
 Review of contractor QC documentation like, QC Dossier, Test Packages for Pipeline, and
Piping&Tanks construction as per ITP.
 Witness &Review of Final Inspection Release Note (IRN/IRC), Mechanical Completion
Certificate (MCC) - Punch list for Test packages like Piping, Equipment, and Tanks& Pipeline.
 Ensure and support production of completion dossiers for handover to Pre-
Commissioning/Commissioning/operation and Maintenance.
 Familiar with health, safety and environment (HSE) activities and policies. (Basic Safety
Regulations, working at height, H2S, Confined space, live/runningplant safety)
