Development and learning Across the full continuum
from birth to five years (infant, toddler, and preschool)
is important.

The first five years of a kids life is the most important.

● Showing a child attention and motivating them to learn is important during the 1st 5
years of your of their life because it acts as a contribution of their life . During the first 5

Each Child is Unique.

● Each child is born with different characteristics


● The environment that the child grows up in determines the child's characteristics, and
foundation
● Knowing a child's characteristics helps a teacher when preparing to teach their students.
Development occurs in predictable patterns, but an
individual child’s developmental progress is often
uneven across different stages and across
developmental domains.

All children develop in different scales when it comes to learning


Young children’s learning is integrated across
different areas of development so Foundations-and
learning experiences provided for children-must
address all domains.
Many factors influences a child’s development,
including relationships with family members and
others and experiences within the home, early
learning setting, and community.

Nurturing and responsive relationships are
essential for healthy growth and
development.
Children are active learners and they learn
through play.
● Children learn best when they are able to work hands on in a activity
● Having the chance to practice by asking questions when learning new things
All children can learn and make progress in
the areas defined in Foundations.

Children with disabilities learn best in
inclusive settings.
Students with disabilities learn best when they are in settings that they are not only comfortable with but able to help with
the help of others around them .
