Intro
Medieval Japan and Medieval Europe were both very similar and both had pros
and cons. For example, they both had feudalism and warriors that protected the
land. They also were both fairly different, one example of this is in Japan the
person who was at the top of the feudalism pyramid did not necessarily have the
most power. Also the main thing that was killing people was fairly different. In
Japan it was natural disasters whereas in Europe it was plague, war, or maybe
even the spanish inquisition, well, at least you could say they had variety. Europe
and Japan had some pros as well as some glaring cons but they were both pivotal
to modern civilisation.

I think that something that we can learn from Medieval Europe is that you need to
be careful with religion. The reason that I say this is that in many cases the
religious leader can have a lot of power and can influence many things in possibly
bad ways. One example of this is the Spanish inquisition, many people were
tortured or even killed because of religious beliefs. On top of that, people can be
blamed for things that really aren't their fault because of religion. Another thing
that was fairly important is that it is important to be careful of plague and sickness
as well as trying to consistently develop in the different fields of science and not
always trust religion.
There are many things that we can learn from Japan one of which is to not get too
greedy. The reason that I say this is because there was a lot of infighting in Japan
over things such as land because some people wanted more. Another thing that I
think that could be learned is that we always have to be careful with nature and the
things such as natural disasters that can be thrown at us. The reason that I say this
is because these things caused a lot of destruction in medieval Japan.
Something that both medieval Europe and medieval Japan had in common was
Feudalism. However, one large difference was that the difference in power
from the top and the second from the top. The reason for this is because in
Japan the Shogun may have actually had more power than the emperor
because of his control of large armies whereas in Europe the most power was
almost uncontestedly held by the King.

Another similarity is that both Japan and Europe have warrior classes.
In Japan it is the arguably better samurai with a large amount of training
and steel weapons and the arguably inferior European knights with
heavier armour and a smaller amount of training. Although they are
different they had similar power and roles in their respective societies,
that is to protect the estate or castle from invaders or to attack an estate
or castle
