Engine Aftermarket

Warranty

1. Donaldson Australasia Pty Ltd warrants its Engine Products against


failure due to defects in materials and workmanship for the length
of warranty (as specified in the table below), when the Engine
Aftermarket Product is purchased from an authorised Donaldson
distributor or dealer.
2. The Warranty does not apply if the product failure is due to misuse,
misapplication, abuse, neglect, rust through & corrosion (mufflers),
poor maintenance, improper service practices or non-Donaldson
approved modifications.
3. For the Warranty to apply, a written customer complaint must be
submitted to the distributor or dealer from which the Engine Aftermarket Product was purchased,
within 14 days of the failure occurring. Do not dispose or destroy the Engine Aftermarket Product. No
Warranty claim will be considered without the product being available for inspection by Donaldson
Technical specialists.
4. You are required to return the Engine Aftermarket Product in accordance with any requests from
Donaldson Technical specialists.
5. Warranty covers the costs of transportation of the Engine Aftermarket Product under review
via Donaldson’s nominated carrier within Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
Transportation of the product from outside of these areas will have to be arranged at your own cost.

Please note that certain aviation laws and regulations prevent used filters being shipped via air
freight. By law, the return process may require these filters be shipped via road or sea freight causing
an unavoidable delay to the initial inspection process.
6. If after investigation, Donaldson finds the Engine Aftermarket Product to be the sole and direct cause
of damage to the equipment on which the product was correctly installed, Donaldson Australasia Pty
Ltd will reimburse reasonable costs to restore the equipment to the condition it was in immediately
prior to the Engine Aftermarket Product failure.
7. Warranty coverage (as specified in the table below).
8. The use of Donaldson Engine Aftermarket Products will not void engine and equipment
manufacturers’ warranties.

Within the Donaldson Engine Product warrant statement, we refer to different Engine Product types. A detailed description of these products is as
follows:
Air Cleaner Housings & Accessories
Liquid Filter Assemblies & Accessories
These are the hardware components of filtration systems that are intended to be installed and used for an extended period of time. They include pre
cleaners and other devises that are used to remove contamination from engine air and are intended to be cleaned for reuse. They do not include any
replaceable components such as filters, gaskets or seals.
Air Filters
Air filters are the replaceable component from inside air cleaner assemblies, and are used to remove contamination from engine intake air. They are
intended for use with atmospheric air within the various specified temperature range. They are not intended for use with liquids, or compounds that
are in a liquid state at the specified operating temperature range. They are not intended to be cleaned in any way, or reused after their end of service
life is reached.
Liquid Filters.
Liquid filters are the replaceable components from liquid filter assemblies that have been correctly specified for use to remove contamination from
various fluid types. They can be in the form of replaceable cartridges, fitted within, or between, housing components, or replaceable spin-on style
enclosed cartridges that are fitted to head assemblies.
They include filters used to remove contamination from fuels, such as diesel, oils, hydraulic and transmission fluids, engine coolant, and any other
liquids that they have been specified as compatible for use with, and appropriate for, by Donaldson. They are intended to be used for compounds that
are in a liquid state when passing through the filter and filter assembly.
