Activity 1 : Meaning Making

1. Teacher starts the lesson by asking them about the places that they have learnt in the
previous lesson.
2. Teacher shows word cards of ( and , or and but )
3. Teacher asks them to read the words and repeat after the teacher.
4. Teacher demonstrate the meaning of and but and or using the objects. (e.g – pencil ,
pen and marker)
Activity 2 : ABO Grouping
1. Teacher asks. “Who likes swimming ? “ ( A few will put up their hands)
2. Teacher gathers them in a group.
3. Teacher asks who likes snorkelling ? ( A few will put up their hands)
4. Teacher gathers them in another group.
5. Teacher calls one pupil from swimming group and another pupil from snorkelling
group.
6. Teacher says. (point to the pupils and say “ Anita likes swimming but Abu likes
snorkelling”
7. Teacher asks “ Who likes swimming and snorkelling?” ( A few will put up their hands)
8. Teacher gathers them and explains that this group likes both activity.
9. Teacher asks (point to one pupil- “Do you like swimming or snorkelling ?”)
Pupils will answer the questions.
Activity 3 : Travelling Balls

1. Teacher pastes all the picture cards of places and activities on the board. Teacher
asks pupils to sit in in a big circle. Teacher distributes three balls. Each ball will be
labelled with and, but, and or.
2. Teacher says. I will play the music and you have to pass the ball around. If I stop the
music, the pupils with the balls in their hands have to stand up.
3. Teacher plays the music and gets the pupils that have balls in their hands to stand up.
4. Teacher gives instructions to these three pupils. “ make sentences using the words on
the ball. (e.g and) I like swimming and hiking or I like to go to Port Dickson but he likes
to go to Pulau Redang.
5. Teacher repeats the steps and drills them to make sentences using conjunction.
Activity 4 : Filling in the blanks
1. Teacher distributes the worksheet (9.1 )
2. Teacher gives instruction for them to do the worksheet.
3. Teacher says “ The first one to complete the exercise with all correct answer will get a
present.”
