• I am interested in Marketing and Business. I want to pursue a career in accounting.

Math has
always been my favorite subject and I would like to learn more about the numbers and finances
behind a business. I would major in Business and marketing, in my opinion Robert Morris
University is the best around for what I want to do.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is very vital in any business. Both small and big time
businesses rely on CPAs and their extensive knowledge of financial management to budget,
audit, and analyze the company’s financial status. The median salary is $77,500, starting salary is
about $30,000.

The interview I conducted was with Erin Fischer. She is a certified public accountant at
American Eagle Outfitters. I learned that she went to college for four years for business and
marketing. I also learned that her entry salary was about $28,000. She often works from home
and explains that she does not have set hours, as long as her work gets done. This career is
appealing to me because I am easily able to grasp the concept of numbers, the flexible hours are
also a plus.

I am preparing myself for this by taking my core classes and challenging myself and excelling in
my math class.

at things in a logical perspective.

specialize in a single area or may practice broadly in many areas of law. Lawyers
typically work six days a week and very long days up to even more than 66 hours a week.
Entry level wage for the state of Pennsylvania is about 92 thousand dollars a year.

I am preparing for this by taking all my core classes as well as social justice and legal
studies in the future. I will be taking these classes to prepare myself so I will be ready to
pursue this career.
