I am going to study in your university as a scholar and I am writing this

called as “Mathematics Education”. However I have some troubles in
confirm whether the research methods in my paper are right.

Private cars
In recent years, with the improvement of people’s living standard more
and more people travel by car rather than by public transport, which is a
controversial topic. In my opinion, people should choose to use public
transport instead of their own cars though private cars has some advantages.
First of all, cars should be responsible for air pollution. It is well-known
that cars always are powered by fossil fuel and the burning of energy can
create waste air such as carbon dioxide, which can lead to many diseases
such as lung cancer, sore throat and son. By contrast, generally public
transports use clean energy such as natural gas and electricity. So they can
emit less waste air and have less environmental impact.
What’s more, when people prefer to use cars as transport, more and more
cares can cause serious traffic jams. Obviously, the capacities of roads are
limited. Especially, in underdeveloped areas infrastructures are backward.
So when too much cars rush on roads, it is inevitable for people to
encounter traffic jams. For example, because people are used to traveling
by car in Spring Festival, there are serious traffic jams in cities in the period.
However is admitted that private cars can offer people many
conveniences. For example, if people can commute by their cars, they can
save much time because they needn’t spend time and energy to find the
proper bus stations and wait bus at stations.
In conclusion, I argument private cars can give rise to some problems
such as air pollution and traffic jams though cars can provide us with some
convenience.

In recent years, with the development of economy governments spend

more money on railways than roads, which is a controversial topic. In my
opinion, building railways is more reasonable than building roads though
railways have some disadvantages.
First of all, people prefer to take railways because railways can help
people to save much transportation fee. It is well-known that the
maintenance fare of railways is lower than that of roads because railways
are more durable. As a result, the average price of train ticket is lower than
that of bus normally. Especially the longer the travel is, cheaper the railway
ticket is.
What’s more, traveling is faster by railways than by cars or bus. The
railways are relatively straight, and the speed of trains is very fast, so
people can arrive the destinations earlier by train than cars. Especially,
people are not likely to encounter traffic jam, which can often be seen on
roads. Obviously, traffic jams can waste people much time.
Although it is admitted that railways can cost more money than roads.
But if people can plan the routes of railways thoughtfully and boost the rate
of using railways, the cost of constructing railways can be reduced
effectively. For example, the railway between Beijing and Shanghai has
bring a great deal of profits to governments because of the high using rate.
In conclusion, I argue that governments should focus on railways more
than roads because railways can bring people more profits such as saving
money and convenience.
