II. Narrative Report of the Training

Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) being one of the institutionalized student organizations
among schools was established to harmonize students against the use of illegal drugs
and to commit themselves into an advocacy related thereto.

Hence, through the efforts of some appointed BKD officers in the school, they have
developed this strategic approach of going to different rooms to initiate the campaign.
Such campaign is expected to last after an hour or less depending on students’
participation on the prepared activities. This activity was participated by some
participants who attended Drugs Awareness Seminar that was held by the same
organization in partnership with the Philippine National Police of Cabanatuan City.

The adviser of the organization grouped the members into two (2) as they went first to
Joson Building where they have oriented Grade 9 Generosity and Grade 8 Hope with a
powerpoint presentation which contains the ill-effects of using illegal drugs. Leaders
also spoke on several testimonies downloaded from the YouTube. They also made sure
that learners were actively listening. The second batch of classrooms that were visited
were all the classrooms of Grade 10 (Happiness, Cheerfulness and Joyfulness) and
Grade 9 Humility. Some members had the guts to initiate speaking while some served
as facilitators.

Some group went to Grade 7 and 8 buildings but at least 3 sections were not able to
campaigned due to lack of time on the part of the teacher teaching on that day.

This activity is secured by permit to campaign from the school principal with a
condition if the teachers on duty so agrees.

III. Recommendations

and maximization of logistics.
