Stitch Guide:

Cross Stitch (Cr St): Skip next sc, dc in next st; working in front of st just made,
dc in skipped st: Cr St made.
Sc around post: Insert hook from front to back to front around post (vertical bar) of next
sc and draw up a lp; YO and draw through both lps on hook: sc around post made.
Instructions:

Bodice:
Starting at bottom of bodice with ribbon yarn, ch 108 (124, 140); join with sl st to form a
ring, being careful not to twist ch.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in each ch around, join with sl st in beg sc: 108 (124, 140) sc.

Note: Do not turn rnds.

Rnd 2: Sl st in first sc, ch 3, working in front of ch-3 just made, dc sl st (beg cross stitch
made), ch 2; (Cr St over next 2 sts) to end, join with sl st in top of beg ch: 53 (61, 69) Cr
Sts.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same place, sc in each dc to end skipping ch 2; join with sl st in beg


sc: 108 (124, 140) sc.

Rep Rnds 2 and 3 ten more times. Finish off.

Midriff:
Rnd 1: Working in unused lps of starting ch, join ribbon yarn with sc 2 lps to the right of
center, sc in next lp, ch 2, skip next 2 lps, sc in each lp to end, join with sl st in beg sc:
106 (122, 138 sc).

Rnd 2: Ch 3, tr in ch-2 sp, skip next st; (dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st) to end, join with
sl st in top of beg ch.

Rnd 3: Sl st in next tr, ch 1, (sc, ch 3, sc) in same st; sc in next ch-1 sp, (ch 3, sc in next
ch-1 sp) to end, join with sl st in beg sc: 53 (61, 69) ch-3 sps.

Rnd 4: Sl st in ch-3 sp, ch 3, 4 dc in same sp; sc in next ch-3 sp, 2 dc in each ch-3 sp to
last sp, sc in last sp, join with sl st in top of beg ch: 100 (116, 132) dc plus 4 dc at center
front.

Rnd 5: Sl st in next st, ch 1, sc in same st, ch 3; *CrSt over next 2 sts; rep from * to end,
ch 3, join with sl st in beg sc: 50 (58, 66) cross sts.

Rnd 6: Ch 5, dc in same st, dc in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, dc in next st; (ch 1, skip next st, dc
in next st) to next ch-3 sp, dc in sp, join with sl st in 3 ch of beg ch-5: 54 (62, 70) dc.

Rnd 7: Sl st in next ch-2 sp, (sc, ch 3, sc) in same sp, ch 3; (sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 3) to

Rep Rnds 4 through 7 two more times; rep Rnds 4 through 6 once more.
Skirt:

Rnd 1: Sl st in ch-2 sp, (sc, ch 3, sc) in same sp, skip next st, (sc, ch 3, sc) in each st up
to last st, join with sl st in beg sc: 52 (60, 68) ch-3 sps.

Rnd 2: Sl st in ch-3 sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, 3 dc in each ch-3 sp to end, join with sl st
in top of beg ch.

Rnd 3: Sl st in next st, ch 5, dc in same st; *skip 2 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next st; rep from
* to end, join with sl st in 3 ch of beg ch-5.

Rep Rnds 2 and 3 ten more times; rep Rnd 2 once more.

Last Rnd: Ch 1, sc in same sp as joining, ch 5; *skip next 3 sts, sc in sp before next 3 sts,
ch 5; rep from * to end, join with sl st in beg sc. Finish off; weave in ends

Bottom Trim:
Hold piece with right side facing and last rnd at top.

Working in ch-5 sps of last rnd, join fur-type yarn with sc in any sp, 2 sc in same sp, sc
around post of next st; *3 sc in next sp, sc around post of next st; rep from * to end, join
with sl st in beg sc. Finish off; weave in ends.

Straps (make 2):


Leaving a long yarn end for sewing, with ribbon yarn make a sl knot on hook, ch 2.
Row 1: Sc in 2 ch from hook, ch 1, turn.
nd

Row 2: Sc in sc, ch 1, turn.

Rep Row 2 until strap measures 12” long, or desired length. Finish off, leaving a long
yarn end for sewing. With tapestry needle, sew strap in place on front and back at top,
placed about 3 1/2” (4”, 4”) in from side.

Form Bust:
Hold garment with right side facing with Bodice to your left and skirt to your right.

Join fur-type yarn at center front of bodice in first ch-2 sp; sl st tightly in each ch
2 sp. Finish off; weave in ends.
