Exercise 6: Facebook Content

Now that we have a solid content strategy following the “Rule of Thirds,” let’s craft content for
Facebook!

Please use the content calendar you outlined in Exercise 5 to draft your Facebook posts. You can write
copy in the spreadsheet, or keep your copy in a separate document. Please review the template content
calendar we posted in the online classroom as an example.

Don’t forget about the best practices to get your VOICE heard on Facebook (Visual, Optimize, In few
words, Consistent, and Engaging)!

Use the guidelines below if you need some inspiration. Some example posts include:

Post 1: Photo Post with Awareness messaging about Health Harms (pull photo or fact from Digital
Advocacy Center)

Post 2: Link Post with Call to Action to sign a petition

Post 3: Share top-performing Facebook post from the Digital Advocacy Center

Post 4: Share a relevant post from someone you’re following

Post 5: Tag a decision maker, KOL or influencer in a post

Post 6: Link post with Tobacco Industry Accountability information

Post 7: Image post with fan question
