EVENT BRIEF :
83% of parents have a specific occupation in mind for their child, with
medicine (19%), engineering (11%) and computer science (8%) the most popular.
• Many times the child is forced to compromise on career paths as parents can't afford
professional courses or premium institutions
• Indian parents want their kids to have a better life than they did
• They want their kids to be able to afford a nice house, a car, live a good life and balance it
with a nice family. Barring a privileged few, 99% of the parents of the current generation
couldn't have afforded all of the above in their time
• Jobs weren't as easily available or lucrative as they are today because our education system
is same for everyone. For them career options out there that guarantee a reasonable
earnings flow, Actually barring professions (engineers, doctors, lawyers, accountants), the
job market for other roles (economics, arts, sports, history etc.) is still nascent in India

66% of parents have sought advice about their child’s university education and,
of these, 72% learned of new options they had not considered.
We now live in an age where, as general job-seekers and a workforce, we have become
replaceable. There are too many engineers out there, so numerous that lots of them go into jobs
that are completely unrelated to the fields they studied for.
The nation doesn't need a generic mass produced builders. We are at a stage where we need
designers. We need fashion creators, design creators for new inventions (Design as in the work
that goes into beautifying your iPhones, cars, and clothes). Parallelly, we still need builders and
do-ers, a dozen for every thinker and designer out there.
BUILD UP
We came up with a campaign for educating the parents and the children about the various
streams in the different sectors of business that have evolved and have greater prospects for
the future as well as a wide scope of securing a hold in the market. The creative fields of the
market have gained tremendous response and popularity over the period, some fields like DJ,
Journalism, Cinematography etc. are examples to support the point.
To help clear understanding of each profession we will invite experts from the fields for a small
seminar to talk about their professions. Helping the kids to choose right career paths that will
generate the highest satisfaction for them.
It is important for parents to understand the various cost involved with different courses and
profession and hence IDBI FEDERAL insurance can be playing a major role in supporting the
dreams and ambitions of their children.

THE JOURNEY
Creating a right plan to keep the game moving forward to keep the spirit of the students
high and hence careful thought and consideration has been dedicated.
The team with the highest Net Run Rate would directly make it to the finals
The winning teams would again play a match to enter the finals
The two finalists will play a match and we would have a winner

Getting students involved in such events would help them in building their social circle and team
spirit.
The jerseys will be customized with the IDBI logo to showcase the brand and create awareness
along with the contestant’s name.
The cricket league will then be taken to the national level where the best teams from each state
would compete and the best team would win a big prize.

• Organizing a cricket match would also help IDBI in contributing to their Corporate Social
Responsibility
• Sponsors can also be a part of the event which will help them in completing their CSR as well
as cut costs for IDBI

SPELL BEE
• Participants will be given a registration form that will have fields requiring Name, Email, Phone,
and parents/guardian’s details
• The students will be divided into groups of 5 and will have a face off with the other group
• Teams will be given anywhere between 15-20 seconds to spell the word correctly
• If a group fails to answer within the time period, a member from the team would be eliminated
• We can associate with SpellBee International which is a National Public NGO, who has been in
the field of education, research, training & development for the past two decades, with more
than one million people as its beneficiaries
• Through this we can address the child’s first teacher and the most conscious engineer of a child's
future
Level Of Competition
• The group with the highest score will be competing for the semi-finals
• The winning team will be awarded with prizes and certificate of accomplishment
