In this activity, the occupations will be given and children will be expected to make a drama
about their occupations that they selected from the box. Children will be in small groups and
they will make drama in silence without talking. They will try to explain what they have on
the cards to other children. other children will try to guess which occupation is that on the
cards.
Group Learning Activities Children will be in small groups to make a
drama with imitating occupations on the flash
cards.
Summary
Teacher prepares materials of the activity. Teacher prints the pictures of professions such as
doctor or tailor. Teacher also prepares the related pictures about with the professions such as
rope, sewing needle. Teacher puts all pictures in the one bag or box. Teacher wants children
to sit like a moon and invite them by the by one by to select one card from the box. That child
who is select the card, shows it to other children and teacher asks what it might be about, who
is that, who uses it, when we see it, why we see it and such as questions. Children try to give
answer to the questions. Then, teacher puts the professions pictures on the tables separately
and puts the other pictures are related with the professions on the ground and teacher wants
children to find correct pictures with the professions. Children will find related pictures and
puts them together with the professions’ pictures on the table. They will be grouping activity.
After that, teacher wants children again to sit on their chairs like a moon, and teacher makes
them a group. Teacher counts the first child from the right. In each group, there will be four
children. The teacher will give them a card, by the sequence, all group pretend like they have
a profession. They will not say their card to the other children. Other children will guess what
they are dramatizing. The group will be in the silence. The rule is they cannot speak while they
are dramatizing their card to the other children. The group will have 5 minutes. The other
children will work with their groups. Teacher will give a paper to each group and when they
understand what the group wants to tell them, they have to draw or paint something about the
profession on the paper. They have only 2 minutes. All the groups will dramatize their
professions. If they do not have enough time, teacher can decrease the groups’ number.
Children should not be feel stressed, teacher should be happy and energetic while the children
work with their groups. If the groups cannot ready for the dramatizing, teacher will help them.
Teacher also can give the card to all groups before the dramatize part. The all groups can find

enough time to discuss about their dramatizing.

 Did you have difficulty while you are making grouping with the pictures?
 What did you think about our drama? Did you like it? Did you have any difficulty to
express yourself with drama? Why?
Measurement & Assessment Activities Teacher will give worksheet to each child to
for Individual Performance assess their learning after the activity.

for Group Performance occupations use with waste materials.
