STEM LESSON VERTICAL ALIGNMENT/4th GRADE UNIT: SOUND

S4P2. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about how sound is produced and
changed and how sound and/or light can be used to communicate.
b. Design and construct a device to communicate across a distance using light and/or sound.

 Students would create an emergency alert using light and sound to communicate to
others that are lost in the woods at night during a camping trip. They are required to
guide their friends back safely to the campsite using light and sound as a guide/alert.
