1. The main idea of the article is that Mexico is slowly becoming more and more dangerous

due to its drug related homicides.

2. I can connect with the article with other countries that i know that are going through this

same situation, like brasil.

3. The author’s purpose is to inform the reader with data about mexico’s murder rate

talked about russia if their target audience were russians.

10. Life in Mexico is very dangerous for a person to live in. You will be in risk of being

murdered if you decide to be a resident of a Mexican city. IN the article, the author states ”There

were 25,339 homicides in Mexico last year, a 23% jump from 2016 and the highest number since

at least 1997…” (Gillespie). He is saying that, as of 2016, Mexico’s homicide rates has reached

its highest recorded peak. In conclusion, Mexico is a deadly country because you're always in

risk of getting murdered there.
