Recall the parts of the concept paper?
 


B. Establishing a purpose
for the lesson
Determine how can concept paper be written for different profession.

C. Presenting examples /
Make the students listen to a tape of “Nasaan Ka, Irog?” Then ask them to
instances of the new lesson
react to the melody and to the music.

Let the students read the essay “The Sentiments of Kundiman” as part of the

lesson

Let the students make a reaction about the essay?

Clarify that the essay mainly explains the meaning of the concept, kundiman.
Ask them these questions to guide them in understanding the essay and its
methods of clarification:

a. Ask the students what elements are compared to show the kinship among
the kundiman and other early song types.

b. Ask them what other devices of clarification, and patterns of development


are used, in addition to definition and comparison. How effective are
these in clarifying the nature of the kundiman?

Make a table of the famous singers of each region: the folk 
 singers
of the kundiman, balitaw, and kumintang, and their songs.
