Alumni Association will host the first-ever Graduation Picnic in honor

for fun, food and networking. Faculty members will be there as well.

CalFam Provides Care to
Fire Victims and First Responders
In the wake of fire storms and destroyed homes, the California Family
Counseling Center (CalFam) offered no cost and sliding scale mental
health services to victims of the fire and first responders.

Exceptional Children’s Art Exhibit
The second annual “Fine Arts Exhibit of Artists with Developmental
Disabilities” was unveiled on November 20th and was shown on the
Phillips campus until February 2008. The exhibit was a collaboration
March 2007 between the San Pedro Art Center’s Exceptional Children’s Foundation
and the Phillips Art Therapy Department.

Elda and Ron Soderquist

Elda Soderquist is one of the earliest Phillips graduates, having earned her
MFT degree in 1976, and her husband Ron Soderquist, PhD, is one of
