Assembly Reports

Automatically generate and update numerous fully customizable reports that

match your schematics 1:1. Receive elegant and accurate project documentation
such as table of contents, title page or cover sheet, structure identifier overview,
symbol overview, terminal bill of materials, point-to-point wire list, terminal diagram,
terminal line-up diagram, plug diagram, cable diagram and cable assignment
diagram.

Interfacing

Eliminate time consuming and error prone manual data entry. Simply export tag
data in a .csv, .txt or .xml format ready for use in your labeling machine. The PDF
export feature outputs an intelligent PDF file which maintains the hyperlinked cross
references and page tree structure of the original project, making it a safe, cost-free
Wire tag data exported to and convenient way to share and archive project data. If project deliverables
Excel ® include CAD, complete your project with EPLAN to cut design costs and then simply
export it in DXF/DWG format to meet end-user requirements at the same time.

Article Reports (BOM)

Automatically generate and update fully customizable project component reports

which include parts list, summarized parts list and device tag list. Then forward the
BOM in .txt, .xml or .csv file format to Purchasing for timely procurement of
long-lead items to avoid unpleasant surprises during panel build.
 Mounting Panel

The Mounting Panel module will vastly streamline your panel layout process.
A special Navigator displays all placed and unplaced project components
to ensure you never miss a part. This module also gives you the flexibility to
start design from a mounting panel with a preliminary BOM. Insert the
automatic enclosure legend and your panel layout page will be perfect.

The Overview Reports are summarized lists of all cables, plugs, potentials
and terminal-strips used in a project, conveniently allowing you to review
these project elements and their respective properties in one concise format.

Concurrent Engineering (Multi-User Access)

Collaborative engineering will be at its best when multiple designers can

simultaneously access and work on the same project, and instantly view
the changes made by another user in real-time.

PLC & Bus Extension

Let EPLAN accurately and logically represent all

devices connected through any bus topology and
manage their relationships. Access your project’s
entire PLC information through a specific Navigator
to re-address, sort, import and export PLC data. The
module’s cross-page bus structure, automatic PLC
diagram and automatic PLC card overview features
will complete your project documentation.

Single Line

Simply represent the connectivity of your devices in

a single-line intelligent environment. This means,
the conductor properties will be preserved and auto-
matically managed when you switch back and forth
between single-line and multi-line representations.
Revision Management

EPLAN makes controlling the changes made to your

projects quick, easy and reliable. Automatically keep
track of design modifications, receive various revision
and comparison reports in detailed list or graphical
format, and “freeze” particular project states by write-
protecting them.

Multi-Language Translation

Chinese wiring diagrams? Russian bill of materials? No

problem with EPLAN’s complete Unicode compatibility.
Create schematics in any language and translate them into
any language all at once to make collaboration with your
international business partners much faster and easier.

Project Management

This module locates all EPLAN projects throughout your

company’s IT infrastructure and gives you the ability to
centrally manage them individually or in multiples from
inside EPLAN. You can delete, copy, back-up, zip, email
and file off projects to organize them, edit their properties
and even see who is working on projects all from a
single interface.

Graphical Reports

When you get the graphical reports, you get the picture.
These automatic reports include terminal connection, pin
connection, cable connection and device connection
diagrams.
