Lawyers are some of the most influential people in modern western society. Lawyers fight

for justice, and put their careers on the line for what's right. Most Layers make far more than a

living wage, and this allows them to pursue their own practices and work around their own

schedule. They also have flexibility within the workplace, which allows them to represent who

they please, and express their interests more frequently than with other jobs. Becoming a Lawyer

also opens up opportunities in other legal careers, widening your options. Pursuing a career in

law sets one up for Postbaccalaureate success through the flexibility of the job, the income, and

the connections

Pursuing a career in law sets one up for success through the financial flexibility the jobs

entail. For starters, the mean income of a lawyer in the United States is a whopping 160,000

(U.S. News and World Report). This money provides lawyers with financial stability, and opens

up an immense amount of opportunities to them. This allows them to provide for their families

while hiring workers, setting up their own firm, pursuing side careers etc. Some lawyers even

have the flexibility to set up a family firm, in which his/her grandkids will take over after their

passing. An astounding 10 percent of lawyers earn more than 200k a year (encyclopedia.com).

It's a very lucrative-incentivised hobby!

 Furthermore, Pursuing a career in law sets one up for success through the flexibility in

the workplace the job provides. A lawyer has the ability to choose who he wishes to represent in

court at anytime (collegegrad.com). So, theoretically, Lawyers work for themselves, on their

own schedule timeline. This flexibility within the scheduling allows for lawyers to entertain

different hobbies and careers, as if the financial means are met, more doors open. Especially

when one chooses to work when they wish. Thus, increasing your window for success. Also,

Lawyers on average work around 50 hours a week (collegeconfidential.com) so there's a greater

amount of free time available to you.

Finally, pursuing a career in law sets one up for success by allowing lawyers to create

interpersonal connections with people through the entirety of their law career. Lawyers deal with

dozens of people a day and deal with a variety of cases at once (collegeconfidential.org). This

results in interpersonal connections with clients, which may result in new opportunities and ideas

(collegegrad.com). Lawyers can use these ideas and connections to further the development of

their firms or the ability to pursue to new career options, furthering their career success. The sky

is the limit here, as in most cases the lawyer and the client meet each other for the first time at

the start of their case.

In conclusion, a law career is a very influential and comfortable practice. Pursuing a
