“North Korea Nuclear Disarmament Could Take 15 Years, Expert Warns” (Politics, 5/29/18)

 As the Trump administration starts with North Korea over “rapid denuclearization” and
expert government adviser who has repeatedly visited the Norths atomic complex is
saying it could take up to 15 years for the country to be fully denuclearized.
 Since the Trump administration came into office, tensions with North Korea have risen
and came to a halt with a sudden end to the Korean War and a promise to denuclearize.
 The government adviser Siegfried Hecker says the best the US can hope for is a phased
denuclearization that targets the most dangerous parts of North Korea’s nuclear
program first.
“F.B.I.’s Urgent Request: Reboot Your Router to Stop Russia-Linked Malware” (Business,
5/27/18)

 The malware is capable of blocking web traffic, collecting information that passes
through home and office routers, and disabling the devices entirely. The FBI
recommends restarting routers to thwart the malware and changing passwords.
 The Malware comes from the same source as the DNC hack in 2016. The Sofacy group is
believed to be directed by Russia’s military intelligence agency.
 The FBI has seized an internet domain connected to the hacking which has now allowed
them to stop the attacks from going on ad to identify the victims of the attack.
“Emergency Braking Was Disabled When Self-Driving Uber Killed Woman, Report Says” (Tech,
5/24/18)

 A built-in emergency braking system in a self-driving uber was disabled while it was
autonomous mode to ensure a smoother ride and it ended up killing a woman.
 The accident happened in San Francisco earlier this week. The car detected and
determined it needed to break a second before the collision, but the system had been
disabled.
 This was the first pedestrian death surrounding autonomous cars. Uber explained the
failure was caused by a combination of a computer system not responding properly to
the pedestrian’s presence and a distracted safety driver.

 Lebron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to win over the Boston Celtics in game seven of
the eastern conference final. James with little help from his team scored 35 points and
got his team into the finals.
 This is Lebron’s 8th consecutive NBA finals and he is set to play the golden state warriors
who he lost to in last year’s finals.
 Taking this years Cavaliers to the finals is being called Lebron’s greatest achievement but
most experts are speculating the Warriors will have an easy victory.
